Yo Toto, y u dont think levels will come to 96 ?? this is after all the biggest crisis ever..
A bit OT la...I dont do sale n purchase of ships but just to let u guys into what crazy mkt my colleagues face ..... the dry bulk mkt index if any of u are into that, has fallen now abt 88pct in the last month fm its all time high in may 2008....a look at bulk carrier pricing ...a 74,000mt ship built in 2000..thats 8 yrs old was a few months ago worth mid usd 70+mil ..and today we are told if we can get buyers at say usd 27-28mil the sellers would grab with both hands ..thats like usd 48mil down in 3 mths and there is NOT even a buyer even at this price liao. Im not saying property may go this way but u never can tell .....sigh !!

Yes, the index went down drastically. It's a matter of time, the prices of ships sky-rocketed for the past 2 years to an unbelievably high level. So a matter of time that it will come down. Though the extent was too drastic, to say the least! Those shipping lines with huge cash reserves will ride out the storm. Those who over-leveraged, good luck to them. And good luck to my job
Sorry for OT. Anyway, back to property prices, we shall revisit this thread again in, say, 1 year's time. toto say won't go down to 96 level....rastaman doubted that.....I say it will drop back to 2005 level.....

Anyway, haven't been there since Leia was peanut-size. So will need to go there to survey the surrounding effect on the property prices. Will call you to come along .

U must go and see, those aren't for everyone. I went to view a couple and really didn't like the layout. Basement is car ark for 2 cars together with toilet, utility room. First floor living and dining but get this no toilet. 2nd and 3rd floor 2 bedrooms each. Can't Reno exterior. So even if freehold, there are limitations and for many in D 9 or 10, facilities cramped, swimming pool like canal. Suburban areas could be better but if so, would rather get non cluster for same pricing.

1. Ventura Heights
2. Estrivillas
3. Mt Sinai Residences
4. Grove Residences
5. Serenity Villa (near Henry Park)
6. Illoura
7. Watten Residences
8. Five Chancery
....all starting from about $5M upwards
