Re: Do you think this is acceptable from PML?
Ok... Here is the update for this unfaithful accident.
Today, as arranged, I drove down my "spilt-nose" white car to PML for the repair (changing a new bumper, grille and car plate).
As the bumper had been sprayed to my car's color last week, the job today is to just remove the old bumper and mould up the new bumper. Pretty easy? ( of course, with the headlight spraying system, it might be abit more work than the other models).
PML told me that it is a full one day job and can come and collect it at 6pm today. Ok, I take that, as ultimately, I just want my car to be fixed. Not that tough from a customer right?
The whole process of sending my car in, getting the loan car (320i) , meeting the service manager along the way (he was apologetic of what happened etc), was pretty smooth. I was there at 850am, and out of PML by 915am.
However, what really get into my nerve now is what happened later. At around 430pm, PML called. And guess what they said?
They told me that while taking off the bumper and installing the new bumper, they "found" some scratches on the mounts. Therefore the area need to be sprayed.
I was like, " huh? As a professional BMW service technician, removing and installing my car's bumper will result in scratches on my car body's mounting?".
I thought that by giving them one more chance in repairing my car, they will jolly well be careful with the car and get it done in the most professional way possible.
To continue that, after telling me that "irresponsible" damage, they told me that because of this, my car cannot be collected today and can only collect it tomorrow 11am.
This is the full story. No second parts will followed.
After that first incident, I did sent an email to the service manager ( whom I met personally today) and one more to BMW Asia (they called me at around 4pm today).
But after this second incident, I am now contemplating what I should do now... seriously.. I am totally utterly disappointed.
My car is just less than 2 months old and it is not damaged by me, but by the supposedly most trusted authorized BMW service centre in Singapore... haiz....
