Road hoggers are very irritating...but worse is tail gaters, especially some big lorries sticking to your tail at over 100km/hr..

why bother?! hazardous if you do that!
i only stare if its some chio bu driving...but if she road hogs also knn i wont care if chio or not.

I actually have a colleague at work who thinks that driving at speed limit on extreme right lane is nothing wrong...
one day was in his car driving to lunch via AYE and as he was cruising at speed limit on extreme right lane, I remarked to him that he should move over as the car behind is getting closer behind probably irritated...to my dismay he answered casually "I'm at speed limit so I'm ok what"
gosh!... now you know the mentality first hand the thinking process of these herd of people...
feel like slapping him up.. I just told him one day you will hv people coming in front of you and jam brake. he said.. "it's fine"
I'm speechless...

1. If I can't cope with the traffic speed which the front vehicle is far far away, so even at 100km/hr.. I will still switch to 2nd lane to let the lorry to pass
2. If I'm coping with the traffic speed, so even if the lorry tail gate me, I can choose not to get way. So even if the traffic flow is slow, is not my fault.. blame some road hogger who is infront of the pack

6 years back, I was pulled over by LTA when I was travelling at 90kmph along PIE (West to East) along Lane-1, nearest car to me on Lane-1 was like approx 10 car lengths away (front) and rear kind of empty (far far away, maybe 100m), Lane-2 was kind of empty while Lane-3 had e slow vehicle.
Got out of car, LTA outrider came to me, I told e LTA outrider, I was not speeding, he said he knows. He said, he stopped me to advise me to keep to Lane-2 and Lane-1 is for overtaking. I replied will do and he said have a nice day and he went back to his bike. Therefore it shows clearly that even on a clear day on e lanes, we r expected to keep left unless overtaking... and travelling at lane-1 at speed limit is still deem as road hogging going by e scenario I encountered years ago

On this one, have to add its beyond hogging on lane 1. even in a traffic jam, everyone has to make way and change lane to accommodate the ambulance, and not the mentality that "everywhere is jammed so I will stick to my lane"
Those who have driven in Europe, US would know what I mean. Everyone would literally scramble to make a clear lane for an ambulance

From what I have witnessed through e years, e positive side is majority of our Drivers do that including lane-2 providing space for lane-1 vehicle to switch lanes. Has always been a few idiots who degrades e driving e experience, sadly.sandman369;825963 said:
