Re: E36 318IS with problems
Thanks all bros for feedbacks,
sszone; I agreed with you. When I bought the old 1992 E36 318IS, I never thought of even looking at the price of a QQ.(QQ is labelled as 1 of the 3 problematic car in China). I think I would rather have a problematic BMW than a QQ.
Anyway, we all know when buying a old car, we have to be prepared to spent to refurbish it. As for me I bought this car at less than 13k so I couldn't expect it to be in good condition.
But firstly, I got to solve the mechanical problems, then followed by the cosmetic conditions, then finally my ICE~!
Gondolz; I never use SAFRA card, I just have to drive by Caltex, 5 mins away from my home.
After travelling with 100KM of Caltex98, I still have no signs of engine RPM dropping below 750 then climbing back up while stopping on the red-light. This happens only once when I stopped at the red light and switched on the air-con,the RPM dropped suddenly and goes back up. I wondered if it is related to the battery or spark plugs or what Mockngbrd had suggested the dirty AFM + hoses
Still, I will monitor again and give a update.
