This is a silly question but how to unlock the car door using the detachable key?

i believe u just extract from the key fob and unlock like a regular key. have not tried it myself though

Bringing up this post alive again,

happened to my car E90 3 years old only last month. Exactly the same encounters as most of you had.

Only driver's door locked and the rest 3 doors unlocked. Climb in thru passenger door and somehow gave others the impression that I am breaking into a car...:laughing:

Send to Boss Motorsports (cos no more warranty) and within 5 mins, done. Fuse blown. Seems like it is a very common problem for E90s.
