E90 LCI 318/320 ecu tuning

a consolidated thread for before/after ECU tune
the purpose for this thread is to gather all dyno results with no intention to prioritize who gain the most or least power ..... most important is you are shiok after remap
stay cool ya! i'm told every engine is not 100% identical in term of power delivery even it is made from the same assembly line.

chershen (E90 318i) = 96bhp/137Nm, 136bhp/181Nm, +40bhp/+44Nm (deduct 20bhp/20Nm on 318 detuned map, actual gain is +20bhp/+24Nm)

Lol, must point out the Chershen is driving a 318 whereas gr8golf88 and I are driving 320s. It's a big difference because the 318 is detuned and the tuning closes that gap as well. On the other hand the 320 is already quite close to its operating limits and the tuning just narrows that band.

Otherwise ppl will think that Nic is unfair.. then demand that he tune their 320 until it gains 40bhp also.. hahaha. Think a piston will fly out first.

If the ECU tuning is the same price for 318 and 320, then tuning 318 is really value for money for the performance gained.

Can I check if you guys are still using throttle booster after ECU tuning?

Looks like the gain in HP and torque is dropping day by day...its Bear market...or consolidation in stock market

the +40bhp is also contributed due to the use of 320 map with +20bhp from 318 detune map

haha ... it's a coincidence because i post based on who remap first.
hmm, i should say it's not a priority list huh to avoid sensitivity

Haha. Possibly mine is higher because I also installed Eisenmann and Nology on the same day. But the results are fairly consistent with what another tuner was claiming (and he didn't have dyno to prove it!) and a diff of 5 bhp is not something that you can feel. However the improved torque is niiiice.

Essential for me when my Gruppe M comes by and eats up all my low-end torque.

In a sense yes because the LCI engines have built in throttle boost. You won't get the same effect though with just a throttle boost because that doesn't add BHP or torque.

Since ur potential ride might be more than 5 year old, u should think about replacement of wear & tear parts b4 mod.

wat are the usual wear n tear parts for a 4-5 yrs old 320i ?
planning to get TWm warranty to cover the gearbox and transmission

the ride is under warranty by TWN(paid by dealer)
Went to BOSS for servicing......1 of the authorised workshop.
