Haha ya lor.. bro Chershen's car also very toxic.. think much more poisonous than mine I remember now he tuned before me.. coz while I was waiting for my ride to be tuned Nic was telling me about it.

May I know whether if ECU remap legal? Can pass inspection? Any side effect to the engine or whatsover?
By the way, I saw in bro WT-Know first post that 318i is 96bhp?? I thought technical spec is 137-140 bhp instead?

Hi snowmanyee,
ECU re-map is legal......................................but don't tint your window too dark ( is illegal )
318i i think stock is 136hp........but heard some time ago there's an onwer dyno before tune and it was 100hp....

That means can sue BMW for indicating 137bhp in their specs. It's as good as cheating.

Just to share my tuning result by Alan from BOSS.
After driving the car for a year in stock form, feel the urge to want to improve the sluggishness when moving off from stationary.
2 weeks ago, went there for servicing as well as beef up my pre-owned E90 320i (year 2005).
Now the gear change feel smoother for the lower gears, pick up is better and moving off from stationary has significantly improved.
The Dyno results:
Stock:
Motor Pow. 153.2 Cv
Wheel Pow. 119.6 Cv
Loss Pow. 26.6 Cv @ 6069 RPM
Eng. Torque 212.1 Nm @ 3319 Rpm
Tuned:
Motor Pow. 174.2 Cv
Wheel Pow. 132.1 Cv
Loss Pow. 33.0 Cv @ 6311 RPM
Eng. Torque 230.1 Nm @ 4396 Rpm
Nic told me that the car can squeeze out a few more ponies if I replaced my stock spark plugs & air filter. Anyway, one thing at a time and meantime enjoying my drive with its extra power.

Wow dude, you can get 153.2 out of the stock car, it's really something. You have a keeper there. Most 320i can only get about 120+ bhp stock.
Congrats and enjoy the ride! BTW you should get the BMC drop-in filter and sparks asap. Should not cost you too much (by mods standards anyway). I think can squeeze out another 10 bhp.
