• Germany are not quite through, but will be as group winners (meaning a match against Greece in Gdansk) if they draw. They will be knocked out, though, if they lose to Denmark by any result other than a one-goal defeat in which Germany score at least two AND Portugal win.
• Denmark will progress with any win. A draw will only be good enough if Portugal lose. If Denmark lose they are out.
• Portugal will be through with victory unless Denmark win by a one-goal margin (other than 2-1 and 1-0). They will progress with a draw unless Denmark win. Portugal will also be through if they lose by a one-goal margin and Denmark are also beaten.
• The Netherlands must win by a two-goal margin and hope Denmark also lose to finish second and take on the Czech Republic in Warsaw.

Surprised to see Russia out even they have superior goal difference over Greece. Read that it was base on head to head ruling.
Group B will be interesting to see German n Portugal lose.... Head to head ruling can't apply here right?

Assuming POR beats HOL..... HOL is out for sure.
But based on head to head, GER beat POR, POR beat DEN, and if DEN beats GER, head-to-head all 3 teams will be even.
Goal difference counts next - stripping out the games between all 3 vs HOL * - follow by goals FOR.
If DEN beats GER by 1-0, DEN's goal difference will be 0 (F3/A3), GER's will be 0 (F1/A1). No matter how many goals POR scored against HOL, its GD is 0 with F3/A3. POR and DEN will qualify even all have 6 points. POR will be top.
If DEN beats GER by 2-1, DEN's goal difference will be 0 (F4/A4), GER's will be 0 (F2/A2). POR's GD is 0 with F3/A3. POR and DEN will qualify. DEN will top.
If DEN beats GER by 3-2, DEN's goal difference will be 0 (F5/A5), GER's will be 0 (F3/A3). POR also 0 with F3/A3. DEN will qualify. GER beats POR on head to head since everything else is equal.
Any one goal margin victory by DEN with GER scoring more than 2 goals will mean that DEN and GER qualify.
In other words, GER must win, or lose with 2-3, 3-4 or so on. GER cannot afford to lose 0-1 or 1-2, assuming POR wins.
POR's fate depends on the results between GER and DEN.

In short, by half time....
If GER-DEN still 0-0 and POR leads 1-0, GER will panick. DEN hoot one goal in on the 89th min and GER will go home !!!
If GER-DEN still 0-0 and HOL leads POR by one goal, DEN will panick. GER hoot one in and DEN will go home.
If both games 0-0 at half time, GER and POR will be less panicky than HOL and DEN.

SPA can afford to draw, but cannot afford to lose. If SPA loses and ITA wins, SPA will be out. Unlikely they will play for draw and take the risk of a 90th min blunder.
CRO can only afford to draw if they assume ITA does not win by a 2 goal margin or more. Else, CRO needs a win.
ITA needs a win (any scoreline) and hopes that SPA-CRO does not end up in a 0-0 or 1-1 draw.
Remember, head to head counts first, then GD, the goals scored. If ITA beats IRE and SPA-CRO draws, the results against IRE need not count. SPA loses its advantage.
But if all level on head-to-head, GD and goals scored, the ranking will kick in - SPA, ITA and CRO, in that order.

As such both unlikely to relax and Croatia will play an attacking game in hope to score at least two goals. This game will be exciting and I predict a spain 2-1 win or 2-2 draw. Italy needs to win and hope there is a winner in the other match, unless spain draw 0-0, to qualify. If spain draw 1-1, then italy needs to win by three goals or at least 3-1 or more if win by two goals in order to qualify. In other words, italy will also play an attacking game and must score at least three goals tonight. Expecting high scoring games in boh matches...
