F10 535i or (PI)E60M5?

Due to certain pressures I now need to buy a sedan.

Since they should cost about the same now, which one makes more sense?

M5 is outgoing model, but very quick, no need to mod. V10 is sweet, and will not be seen again after M5/M6 is gone. Running cost is much more expensive

535i can mod, but will not be quick, but is new model. But since like the whole singapore's getting it. Running cost will be neglegible.

(OK below is a bit OT but just for discussion sake: )

Or totally look at something else? How much is a PI base panamera?

Or should I buy a 2nd hand Picanto + 2nd hand F430?

Been checking around and it seems that the PIs can bring in the 535i for around 250k so not sure how old the comparable E60 M5 would be for that price point.

F10 535i

new always feels good.

Re: F10 535i or (PI)E60M5?

self import F10 550i

Re: F10 535i or (PI)E60M5?

interesting responses here. most would go for current as suppose to an ///M

Re: F10 535i or (PI)E60M5?

If it's vs F10 523, then I will choose de ///M....:)

Re: F10 535i or (PI)E60M5?

i think its because man is more fickle minded when it comes to cars.
i may feel that my e60 looks more handsome than the subtle new F10....but i dare not commit and say that I will feel the same 1 or 2 years down the road, where there will be new bodykits, rims added on the F10, surely making it more desirable. :shoot:
and if its me, after spending some $200++K on the M, which i feel i may regret.... i will not feel good. :sickinbe:
nothing is worst than buyer's remorse with that price tag! :oooops: :shakehea:

I second what pengful says...that the f10 will be current for the next 5 years.

Re: F10 535i or (PI)E60M5?

F10 535i...........and then mod all the way..........

cheers

Re: F10 535i or (PI)E60M5?

M5 always special for me, high OMV, best of both world... can sell your Maser.

Hi Racebred, which is the one that u have always wanted? Go with ur heart, otherwise u will keep thinking "what if I have bought it?".
E60 M5 may be old model and gives u problem like wear and tear but at least u have tried owning it rather than just thinking what-if. Which u may regret later in life.
Just my 2cents. Hope u enjoy ur next ride.

Re: F10 535i or (PI)E60M5?

Depends on the purpose of the vehicle that you are buying..

Just cannot compare a F10 vs a F430...different car for different purpose.

If you are looking for ultimate 5 series with both power and space...then F10 535 or wait for the new M5

E60 M5 not a good choice unless you get a used one...

Again when new model roll out,,,outgoing model will start to look dated in no time....trust me...

Re: F10 535i or (PI)E60M5?

///M is definitely special. Not forgetting that it might be d last hi revving V10 from ///M. I guess u know better me what make a ///M stand out from non-///M.

beauty is in eye of beholder. E39, E30, E24 do not look dated to me. W126 doesnt look dated to me. and 993s still look beautiful. just my views.
