Personally, I can't find any other disadvantages, but many plus points:
1. Cheaper to run with > 13Km/L (30% more).
2. More torque with 380Nm (50% more).
3. Cleaner engine with only 129g/Km CO2 (15% less).
4. Less visits to the petrol station (half the number of times).
5. Can drive hard to your heart's content without worrying about money & the environment.
6. Just as comfortable inside the passenger cabin.
7. Cheaper to buy too.
Full tank, drove to KL & Back, used slightly more than half tank and still have 500+km to next top up.

What is the service interval of 520d here? Seems that my UK friend's 320d service interval is very very long. He mentioned he didnt send in for servicing for 3 years (50,000km? ) and the dealers told him its ok. He was worried.
I was told by PML that 520i service interval is 10,000km (?!) Used to be 25,000km i thought. What is the actual service interval?
At least Mercedes is consistently at 15,000km.
