tested the 320i last week tho....yup its nippy but somehow the handling n build quality n sound insulation seem some steps backwards..

Price is $186,800 before next week, what I heard from the sales exec is that it will increase to $19X,XXX after official launch this weekend. No overtrade, but standard $2000 loan discount.

Overtrade discount probably will kick in when they start selling at $190+k.. just playing with numbers.

the 320 basic was going at 198.8k in dec. so thats 1.2k more depreciation per year (assuming ten years). Why would anyone looking to spend 186.8k not consider the 320 instead? 316 sport line > 320 basic?

Does the sport line come with full M sport body kit?

actually, i'd expect a lot for 190k! only that now, half of that goes to coe alone. otherwise that would have gotten you a z4 sdrive23 just a couple of years back.

depend on buyer budget and what se smoking

sell 316 ... se said as good as 328 ... body looks the same ... spore road 1.6L good enough liao and FC is better

sell 320 ... se said as good as 328 ... the turbo is as good as 328 detuned only and the power is sufficient

sell 328 ... se said as good as 335 ... the power is more than enough for any daily driver unless you want to cheong all the time

sell 335 ... se said as good as m3 ... lolz

actually, there is some truth in all the above smoke ... really depends on buyer pocket and what the buyer priority. if $$ is not an issue, who would consider 316?

but did not asked exactly what they are).

Nope as above. Add $6.32K (offer price). You get M Aero package, M leather steering (no paddle shift), M light alloy wheels 400M with mixed 18in tires, M sport package, M sport suspension, BMW Individual headliner anthracite, highlight trim finishers black high gloss, and Interior trim finishers Al Hexagon, I also saw and confirm M door sills.

The 320 basic price today is $226,800 without the sports trims. To add the sports trims you need to pay $7k more. The Christmas promo price of $199k is only available if you have a car to trade in and still it was subjected to prevailing market prices and assessment of the value of your old car. I think businesses won't price their products to cannibalise themselves one la.

That being said, still makes more sense (to me) to get a smaller engine if the potential after tuning is that of the 320 stock engine? Small bonuses like FC and road tax to consider as well Not sure about insurance as I was previously driving a 2.0L "sports car" so it is sort of a "downgrade" for me.

I enquirer a few times whenever I saw the advert and was told there is a catch? I guess I miss the real promo. I asked again yesterday when I bought the F30 for my wife and was told the samething.

The white TD car has no badging and I was told customer preference so no need to debadge if indeed no badge in the first place. Let's see if this is indeed the case after homologtion completes.
