And I thought I was the only one with poor FC! But I am quite surprised that some of you here are getting like 9Km/L. I am running on S001 tyres and the usual 235/265 profiles. There was a period of time when I was achieving only 7.1-7.2Km/L! I could only achieve 8-8.5Km/L when I am driving mainly on the highways.
I am wondering if tyre's pressures play a part? I stick to the recommended pressure of 230kpa for front and 280kpa for the rear.

tyre pressures do play a part. mine is 235/265 setup.
front pressure 285
rear pressure 275
fc at 9 if light footed and approx 70% highway.
but the moment i lower to
front pressure 265
rear pressure 255
and go heavy foot...
im getting fc 8 even on 70& highway

haha i think additives wont work bro. your right foot is the best already. move fast off traffic to 80-90 and hold it there at 2k/rpm, thats the golden rule, and anticipate red lights...
for me i reached a point where i cant b bothered already. staggered 235/265 and getting 7.5km/l cause i always drive like nobody's business. if want to save petrol then wouldnt have gotten e90 hahaha.

I totally agreed with you on the above!
When I collected my ride and was trying to see how the fuel consumption on my E60, the more "Gu Liang" i drive it. It drink more petrol.
Just push it to push off from stationary is the correct way of driving Bimmer. If you try to tap light light on accelerator and hopping that it quickly change/up gear, you will regret..... YOur Fuel consumption indicator will stay max...20l/100km.
