G30 owners please fall in!

I am just checking with rest of you guys if this is actually relevant. Bmw loan period is minimum 5 years. I wasn't able to shorten the loan period. Is that correct ??.

I was told the same. Had to take a minimum amount too.

I believe the minimum year loan is because of the commission that is payable to the dealer from the bank? If lesser loan tenure is agreed, usually a penalty is applied as the dealer does not get commission from the bank. For my case,when puchasing from the PI,the penalty is lesser than then the total loan intrest.

Someone else got 4 years. So have to be smarter on my next buy.

Hey bro,money can earn back one,take some nice photos and post here,some years later can look back and smile. Take with kids too if u have any, to see how much they have grown when u do sell your car.

Hi Mark,

Forget about the loan issue, let it go....enjoy the collection tml.

Once you get your new car, try checking when you car totally cut off the radio/music after engine is switch off.

Was told to press 2 times after parking the car. The radio/music eventually cut off when I open my driver door. This seems to be the norm.

However, on another occasion, the rear passenger door was open before i open my driver door and the cut off was switch to my left passenger door.

Am trying to understand how the new system works.

Anyone has similar experience?

Hi New5,

You can switch off the radio by pressing on to the radio volume knob for 3-5 secs.

All these can be set under the Vehicle Settings -> Lock in iDrive including opening locks upon arriving at destination, engine/radio off when open driver door, etc

Go play with your iDrive and you may discover even more settings to customise.

If our G30 rims are PCD 112 x 5 , then they are similar to Volkswagen and Audi rims PCD?
