Re: Garmin GPS

walau eh, go Internet Yellow Pages (Singapore) and check :nutkick:

Address : 200 Jln Sultan #03-29 Textile Centre Singapore 199018
Telephone : 6297 8126

Look for Robert. They got stock now as I just collected my 310 for repair :nehnehhh:

Re: Garmin GPS

Thanks bro.

Sorry you're right, should have done a bit more self-research! :p

Btw, u mention repairs on your 310...any probs?

Cheers.

Re: Garmin GPS

A little problem with the speakers but overall still a good GPS. I also use the bluetooth function alot, part of the reason why I bought it. It can read your mobile phone e.g. contact list, call history and a one touch 'call home' feature, but can't read your SMS.

Hope it helps.

Cheers

Dan,

Garmin has already developed a new firmware that allows users to read and send sms off the Garmin. But it is phone specific. Go to Garmin website and check phone compatibility first before downloading the firmware.:)

Re: Garmin GPS

Hi all,
Went to Textile Ctr and intended to buy the Nuvi 310.

But somehow ended up getting the Nuvi 660! But, i can tell you, they should come in this size rather than the smaller 310/360 series, put them side to side, you wont want to look at the 310/360, they are too small...:yummie:

and i got it at promotional price at only $1590.
i was quoted this same price by Perfect Watch 6 weeks ago for the Nuvi 360...but i think the price has dropped since the launch of the 610/660 series...was told they are retail at $1700/= non promotional.

This was the last set i got it. But there 2 Nuvi 610 left. go get it...

Re: Garmin GPS

Hi Tom,

Nice pics! Looks pretty neat.

1. Do they have any 310s left in stock?

2. What's the key difference btw 660 and 610?

Cheers,
B

Re: Garmin GPS

i think there're 2-3 Nuvi 310s i saw yesterday.

the difference btw 610 & 660 are:

Traffic alert, safety camera, voice guided with spoken street names, AC adapter wall charger. For more info, check out the Garmin Website...

Tom,
what is safety camera, care to elaborate? Garmin web say it has Wireless FM Audio Transmission - where the sound can be transmitted to your FM radio. Tested and works?
Thanks

Re: Garmin GPS

The 660 looks good. Pardon my newbie-ness, but how do you mount this unit? Suction caps to the windscreen as per the usual GPS?

Anyone wants to do a group buy? LOL...

Re: Garmin GPS

Any one know what is the price for the 610 and 660?

Is their diff. only the additional map?

Cheers

Re: Garmin GPS

Bought which model? $$?

We got the 610 for SGD1290. I forgot which shop was it (only know it's the first level), but we bought the last unit for that day.

One of the functions I like is that it can act as a speakerphone - just have Bluetooth connectivity between the phone and the 610, and you're done. Also the speed readout is pretty cool, tells you max speed reached, travelling time needed, etc...

With this, we definitely don't need a on-board GPS system anymore.

I think the difference is that the 660 has a FM transmitter, and the 610 doesn't.

Re: Garmin GPS

You mean 610 doesn't have FM transmitter?

Cheers
