I have a little question and would like to have some advise.
I downloaded Malaysia/Singapore map from MalSin website and used it for my recent Malaysia trip to KL. It works fine most of the time and was able to find those places I keyed in.
However, while on the way from Singapore to KL on NS highway, I have keyed in the destination in KL before I start my trip from home. However, the GPS kept directing me out of the NS highway (it is obvious that I should travel on the NS highway till I reached KL toll station). If I will to follow the direction of the GPS and get out of the highway, just can't imagine what time I will reach KL.
Can anyone advise if there is any setting I need to do on the GPS in order to avoid being guided out of the highway "so soon"?

Too late for that. Ah Wee already cut the cigarette lighter socket off the cable. He had to as the other end connecting to the device is of a proprietary design. I'll just have to buy another cable if I wanna bring it overseas.
sds:
Garmin devices can only use Garmin maps, which by most people's reviews are superior to the others.

In Singapore, you can get away with buying the set from anywhere becos there is this fantastic community called malsingmaps.com. Their maps are free and far more detailed than Garmin's own S'pore/M'sia maps. You download the maps onto an SD cards together with the appropriate POI's to allow you to do specific searches like HDB block numbers, buildings, landmarks...etc.
Only downside is the search function with malsingmaps does not work as well as the original Garmin map. However, many people are doing fine with it despite it's flaws.
The "updatedness" of malsingmaps vs Garmin's map can be seen here:
The runoff to Kallang from PIE does not exist on Garmin's map til today. The same runoff appeared on malsingmaps a few hours after it was opened.

teckheng;179003 said:how about the warranty issue ? If you set is from Ebay, you will be having a set without any black and white to proof you buy the stuff and warranty most likely  .
From Ebay, you properly save $200+ from a Garmin C330 without a warranty.
Oh, there is actually a way to make your set with warranty using a method i saw on a software tweak site.
1) you buy from Garmin C330 ebay.
2) one day the damn thing smokes up,
3) you go shops selling large range of Garmin's Products, PW ? Mastafa??
4) buy another set of Garmin C330.
5) Return back to the shop in 10mins claim you try to plug into your car and it's not working.
6) wait for a working C330 and pass the shop your smoked C330 from Ebay.
7) Post in Ebay and try to sell your new C330 New In Box Condition.
8) and use the new C330 with warranty from Singapore dealers.
NOT MY IDEA, i read from some hardware tweak sites.
