Gearbox Solenoid Change - Jerking Problem Solved - E90

Greetings to all, try to change GB oil every 40-50000km. Can do it outside. Oil is not cheap like $300-400+ or more. PML charge $600 for the oil.

Better to sort it out earlier since it is on its way. You don't want to be stranded. And you will want to have more time to enjoy the smooth shifts.
 
Thanks for the advice! Thinking of sorting as early as possible, however I'm afraid that money spent but still not resolved...and have to spend money to try and error.

09 320 gm gearbox. Mine was engine oil leaking. Changed oil filter, pan, gasket.

For the jerk, i went to 2 workshops to solved it. They plugged in to obd and did some setting wch when asked they both said nothing. For first ws, my car felt responsive and finally went to 2nd ws my gear jerk is minimal.
 
They probably just erased the adaptation for the gearbox.

Those having jerks with GM transmission, do the fuel consumption gets affected too?
I am only having like 300km when lights up
 
My E60 also had sudden "transmission failure" recently even tho I changed the solenoids 8 months back. Leakages came back even tho almost all the engine seals, vacuum pump and flywheel stuff all changed.

Changed the oil filter housing and cooler gasket and this solved the leak (last change of oil filter housing gasket was like 10months back, so I guess the real culprit was the oil cooler gasket)

Next up is the O2 sensor which I suspect should be the one giving me the transmission problems (especially when the engine is cold). Getting it changed this friday, hope it will help.

Been reading the posts on the solenoid fix. Would like to have the address and contact number if any of you still have them. Have tried pm Aaron but I Guess he's no longer active here.

Also, a ball park for the parts and labour would be perfect.

Can you PM me the stockist and also the WS in boleh land?
I just purchase a 2nd hand E90 and during gear 1-2, it has jerking.
After i drove for a while, feel like vomiting or stomach uncomfortable.

The car is 8 yrs+ FYI

Hi all, just got my pre-owned E60 520i at 140k mileage. Just now when I was trying to do reverse parking, I tried shift my gear from D to R but there is no response. The light still shown on D. Then I shift the gear to M+/- and back to auto again, then only I was able to shift the gear to R. Anyone experience this before?
 
Have one of the site sponsor go diagnose first. Otherwise change the ATF and oil pan to see whether problem solved or not. Worse case is that the transmission is going bonkers soon.
