A couple years ago my E60 520 had a gearbox failure! PML diagnosis showed that the control box is gone! I had the choice of changing only the control box for about $4500 or more than $9000 for the whole box. I opted for the whole box as the gear unit may only last for another 50k km (mileage of my car then was about 100k km). I discovered later that there are workshops in town that could do a flashing of the entire gearbox for about $500 that could extend the box for another 30-50k km. I did it later for my E90 320 and the box works beautifully for more than a year till I sold it.

just talk abt labor.. local sgd$600, bolehland RM$500+
u do the sums.
WS aaron intro was good! flooded with bimmers...
good n experienced people...
changing solenoid is half day job... maybe can support new york if bo liao also...
*not i say one... dunno which lao jiao say one**

Thanks, I'm lousy driver so no driving to bolehland (mainly drive between home and office). Prefer to stick to local WS to avoid the hassle and stress. Appreciate if any bro can share local WS contact that change gearbow solenoid at reasonable price, esp at west Singapore. Many thanks in advance.
