Happy Father's Day

Re: Happy Father's Day

Hmmmmmmm... now thats true... i have nth more to say *runs awaaaay*

Re: Happy Father's Day

One of friend's father has 3 kids. He bought 3 houses for each son. 2 to rent out. And 1 to stay in. Bought 15 million dollars of insurance so when he die ... Each get 5m.

Sold his company for quite a tidy sum and made sure each son is appointed as director with director fees of 500k a year as part of the deal. Just need to attend 2-3 meetings a year.

And then set up a fund .... So that each son just collects the money made each year. So that they can buy their whatever car they like.

All went to Ivy League schools in the US so that they have credentials.

They say their father farked up ... Only give so little. Their friend in schools got a lot more. Just that few hundred K a month how to live.......

I've never ask for a single cent from my dad for anything. He gave me I also will say no need. He used his own $$ to change car/bought two cars, I was happy for him even though I've to use my own $$ to buy car, buy house,, etc.
My sister worked for 7-8 yrs to save up enough to start her own business. U think parents no $$? Got, but she never ask. And I respect her for that. (btw we have different parents.)

Just curious, how old are u?

Re: Happy Father's Day

I never really got to know my Dad and understand what it is like to have a father growing up (My dad died when I was only 6 years old, and my mom never got remarried)

To all bros (and sis) whose dad are still around with us... treasure the time you have with them. Yes, sounds very cliche, but as you can see from many posting in the thread, I am sure many will agree with me.

LOL 18 is a bit too much la, when I was 18 I was still in school. Can do holiday work for 2 months but not enough to last for the other 10 months. Then came 19-21, lagi worse. $170-$200 for 2.5 years. nb pui chao nua. Stay in somemore, so can't even moonlight like Ken did.

This kind of father...... >.< Can afford to but dont want to.... le sigh. 不怕老爸没钱, 只怕老爸不够疼你 srsly...

Ive seen fathers who go to extreme measures to provide for the kids even though they are just avg wage earners...but too bad not every parents are that selfless...

I have no more to say to you other than i hope you will be judged the same as how you have judge your own father.

Fathers have done their job bringing their children up. Love is not measured by money.

Provide for and providing luxury is very different. I made my own money, I bought my own car. I couldn't sustain it I sold my own car. Never a single cent from my parents. Do I blame them? Sometimes because I really wanna go to Disneyland. Do they love me any lesser? No. Do you need to look past the haze? Yes.
