So the effect is really the nice white "Xenon" light right ? Or will it look like "cheapo blue light" on a lot of jap car on the road ?

Bro, as I mentioned earlier, whether the light turns out blue-ish or not depends on how many k is your xenon bulb. The one I have is 6,000k and it is white and not blue. If u go above dat, it will lean towards blue in colour.

There are some who juz change the halogen bulbs to Philips Diamond Vision etc to have the white colour effect though the bulb is still halogen. Less than $70 per pair but the throw is not be as far and intense in my opinion.

Andy,

So have you got your M5 mirrors up oredi? Wow, so the other tread that you are also eyeing the Gruppe M.. Looks like the bug got you bad..Hehehe

Bro, m interested to take a look, can compare with my factory fitted ones. Buzz me & we meet sometime this week night. Bulbs wise our 6000k is just right, I'm on Philips D2S. Wilson just change to 6500k ones which he bought from a US website & we did a comparison, no diff for the xtra 500k. 8000k ones dam blue man, quite a risk to take for those aftermarket convertions. Btw any luck with the kit? Let me know if you're keen on the ACS set, I'll link you up with the seller.

Ah-ya, if ever kenah stopped by white ants.........talk nicely to him and explain that you suffer from night blindness and that the xenons are there to help you see better in the dark and as such, minimise the risk of an uncalled for accident. :laughlik:

.....and if it so darn happens that the officer who pulled you over turns out to be a class A chio-bu.....you might even wanna consider telling her that had it not been for the xenons....you might have rear-ended her  tounge in cheek of course

hi -

can your same setup be used for '04 e46 sedan?
and can i get my fog lights to match the headlights if i were to change them?
Thanks! :)

There are Hella xenons for e46 as well. Whether the same set or not, I am too sure but I think it shd be the same coz e46 also using H7 type headlamps. And yes, there are people who install xenon on fog lamps as well. The supplier can supply u as long as u tell him your bulb holder type. For your e46 fog lamp, shd be either H11 or H4, I can't remember liao.

thx T6 for your comments.
can you recommend any garage that i can do the conversion?
or should i just go to the workshops page and pick one?
will have to head down to the next meet to check out everyone's ride...

I think firstly, u must determine what brand of xenon u wanna buy. Price varies with brand. There are brands like Xelux, Brightstar, Super Vision and Hella etc.

I chose Hella because it is the same brand used in factory-fitted BMWs that have xenons. So I had to pay a bit more for that brand but not that much more.

I only have the contact to the guy who sells Hella xenons. For othe brands, Autobacs etc may carry and they may throw in free installation. In my case, I went with the accessories shop that the xenon seller recommended and had to pay for installation separately at $90.

Hope that clarifies. I do not know whether the workshops listed in the forum folder sell or install xenons or not.

Your reasoning for getting Hella makes sense.
I will probably do the same.
Can I get the contact information of your Hella guy?

Just picked up my Hella ballast Xenons and I heard the 2 sets have been taken up. New stock will have revised (higher) pricing.

For those who has done it, any chance of catching up to see ?

Hi Guys

I'm writing from Lintrex. Just like to info you guys that we have now offically appointed Club Club sales rep to handle end-users enquiries n orders. The objective is to bring our products closer to you guys and improve product awareness.

For those who are not familiar with us. We are the exclusive agent for Xelux & BLU HIDs, Brembo, Conti, etc in Asia Pacific.

Those who had been getting the Hella HIDs from my colleague Bob can now contact the CC sales rep (Edvan) as 94777878 for any enquires or to place any orders. He has registered his nick as Xelux. Check out New Product folder for more info.

Lastly, as one of our strength is in the BMW programme, we are now considering working out some promo for you guys in this club. Will keep you guys posted.

Cheers!
