hmm, the blue ones seem brighter. all along, i thought the white ones (6000k) should be brighter.

Bro, the blue type will be brighter tha the white ones (6000k) coz more k. 7500k onwards quite blue-ish. The OEMs from factory-fitted BMWs typically 4300k only.

After wrote in to the vendor and he finally agreed to replace me a pair of xenon bulb but he need to wait for the stock to arrive and exchange for me.
(now tone much better and also willing to listen) :)

Also for those who want to have a lower k value bulb you can order from him and he had verbally quoted around SGD100.00 per bulb which is cheap to my knowing. But you need to ensure the part is correct during collection. :ehhh:

Also a piece info for those had upgraded the xenon kit (supplied by this vendor) When you on the low beam and there will be two(L & R) dimm dark lines pointing front is due to the orientation of the xenon bulb electrode in facing top position which is wrong for projector type headlamp. The correct way shld be facing down position as figure shown (the one long tube) you will do away the lines. what you need to do is cut another step on the xenon bulb flange for the correct mounting of bulb (very easy to do it cos the flange is plastic material) If you are okay with dimm dark lines and there will be no harm to leave as it is.

Arsenal,

@ a hundred bucks each, they are indeed "cheap", anyway, guess I hear that long awaited sigh of relief coming from your end now that they've agreed to swap the bulbs for you

Martin,

Thanks, finally I got it resolved (still need to wait for bulb and hope that not lip services from that vendor). Now you shld be able to change to lower k value H7 rebase xenon bulb at more reasonable cost. Now I prefered 5000k to 5500k that can produce higher lumens but more sunlite white. :|

Andy,

Let me know, our offices near by and can eat at alex's duck stall. (I worry once I touch it and your xenon lite will become cock-eye like mine     )

On u, Alex's duck rice on me though I prefer his char siew. Will call u next week.

Nick, agreed totally lower Kelvins would yield higher lumens. Don't know if you find it a tad difficult to see the blue-base sign boards (eg start of express ways etc) with the slightly blue tint. Guess it won't be quite as bad on your ride as you've got a real white source to "balance" out the effect. Would like to check out your supplier cause autobacs somehow only sells the kit with the 8,000K bulbs......no replacement :( machiam sell you gun with one bullet, when asked what happens when bulb blows, bugger tell me to change the entire kit.......SEOW ah :furious:

Guess we both got our own fair share of "great after sales service"

Martin,

Agreed as claimed, but majority of aftermarket accessories vendors in SGP are such standard what to do? (sorry if I would to offend anyone)

Try the vendor I purchased from (according to him stock eta end Jan) but you need to be firm during collection of bulb and test it on the spot, wrong part no $$$$ :argue:
The other option is do a group buy from ebay but also risky cos we do not have a chance to see the actual color projected as claimed.
Let me do more research on it, need to get the correct water resistant couple socket together with the bulb. If feasible H7 rebase xenon bulb can bring in more cos most of the BMW/Benz are using it.
Can anyone indicate they need the bulb of 5000k to 5500k or other k value H7 rebase xenon bulb? Also possible drop a pic of your current socket type for the xenon bulb then can get a step further to materialise.

Nick,

A thousand apologies, missed out on th elast part of your last post regarding the socket type. Will get a JPEG done later tonight and will post it. Just in case it rings a bell, it's one of those idiot-proof types, where you can't get the polarity wrong. i.e. male (+) to bulb and female (-) to bulb.

The 4300k (standard car xenon bulb color) and 5300k H7 rebased xenon bulb can order liao.

For those want the above pls let me know. You connector have to be the picture shown, if your is not then you have to DIY to change the connector using your current one. i.e. cut you current connector & joint
