but
1 liter = 0.879876993 UK quart....
agar agar.... about 5 liters enough....

I googled. Owners Manual no mention.

Seriously, may be F30 uses same capacity of engine oil - 6L as W204.
Simi google and yahoo also useless lah....best is using the old school method - aga aga.

Thanks to those who gave some tips. I didn't realize I had to clear my query with the committee named 'Seriously'.
I checked online, differing accounts. One guy in the states says 5 quarts exactly, and even their dealerships gave different answers. Was hoping people who actually owned the car with some ACTUAL experience (I guess the 'seriously' committee dont fall under this group yet took the effort to respond with other suggestions anyway). Especially since so many of us buy our own engine oil of choice which is often brought in direct from the US in quart bottles.
I'm not going to Pml cos they have too long a wait, and even then they used to say 6.5l while external workshops poured in 6.9l on the M54

Long queue for appt and they use shell, and sometimes I don't really trust answers
from the BMW appointment hotline to tell me how much oil I need. Even BMW manuals from us and uk quote different top up amounts 1L versus 1qrt.
