so gimme something better. hybrid or diesel?
For Diesel, have u considered and worked out the road tax payable and the rebate given by government? Overall, to me, looks like a lose lose unless government gives bigger rebate.

Were u in vagsg?

based on his signature pic, toto and Oilman are twins, and drive the same car, although Toto is the insecure one

Re: i was at pml

For hybrid, it sounds dead when the electric motor kicks in at low speed, not easy to adjust to it for someone who likes to hear the engine rev and exo roar.

Dear slow_poke_driver,

I believe you misunderstood me, Munich Automobiles only retails the BMW M and M Performance Automobiles(MPA) range of BMWs, when you asked me if the individual option is available for the M135i. What I said was not meant to be misconstrued as hao lian, it is a fact that currently for the MPA range, no individual option is available. And for Munich Automobiles, between the two ranges that we retail, only the M has the individual option. We do not speak on PML's behalf regarding individual options for the range they retail. I trust this clears it up. Thank you for choosing BMW.

Don't worry...no offense taken...I am sure the great service provided by MA is the best proof of why even non-m owners like us will go to MA instead of pml for aftersales...Waiting for car to be done at MA is like reading paper while having tea on a quiet leisure afternoon. Waiting for car to be done at PML is like waiting for blood to boil with template answer of, "it is normal".

For now...lets take a look at some photos of the m135i...

Group buy anyone?

made sure you order from the right sales person if you want leather and not alcantara.

Re: i was at pml

the real people in caveman age is the govt.

oil burners are supposed to be cleaner and more efficient than petrol cars, provided the diesel they use is Euro 5 compliant. if i am not wrong, singapore is still on euro 4, so sulphur content is slightly higher, i.e. more pollutants.t

he govt is reluctant to upgrade to euro 5 because it will significantly increase the diesel cost. and guess who constitutes the majority of the oil burners? the taxis!

improve quality of diesel = raise diesel price = increase taxi fare = increase CPI = higher standard of living = lose votes next election

that's why VW has been testing their TDI euro 5 oil burners in singapore for some time., to see whether there are any adverse effects on their euro 5 engines. apparently they are ok to go, so VW will be launching the entire range of oil burners this month, from the hatches to the MPVs and SUVs (total 11 cars!!!). there's even a TDI Clean Diesel Experience Centre to engage potential customers. mebbe toto can go and give it a try and provide us with a review?

as an interim measure, the govt is scrapping the Green Vehicle Rebate and launching the bloody Carbon Emission-based Vehicle Scheme in Jan '13, giving cleaner cars a rebate of up to $20k. this is a regression instead of a step forward, but no choice - i live on this little red dot where cars are more expensive than houses in other countries.

the cheaper diesel at the pumps and better/lower fuel consumption will help to offset the higher road tax and diesel surcharge.

but it will only make sense if you choose a small to medium size car. if you choose something like the touareg V10 TDI, it will totally defeat the purpose.

this is a quality post. pls thank me.

Re: i was at pml

but if you drive an oil burner, you can challenge the taxis at the red light, and finally have a good chance of winning!
