Of course real trade lah. I am not an analyst.

Pinned down the trade and let you QUOTE and test the methodology. Unlike some gurus in the market who talked without pressing the buttons, or worse, make ambiguous calls which could sound correct either direction.

I find it amazing that the report could cite Genting's price at 1.87. That has to be last Friday or earlier.

And then the report is dated 19th, Tuesday.

SO, the analyst wrote it much earlier and hold it for at least two days for some reasons....... go figure out.....

who can forget one of the most classic analyst TP for Genting ...

My in-house technical analysts will only issue a technical report after the stock has moved. Nb even a blind man can do that. I really wonder how these guys are still able to keep their jobs after all their wrong calls or hindsight calls. No justice.

And the few times that they get it right, they'll be blasting over the PA system blowing their own trumpets about how choon their call was. Nb even a broken clock is correct twice a day. Pui!!

Swee swee performance by STI these few days.... base on today's close of 3183..actually STI is still -7 pts YTD base on Dec 31st 2010 closing price of 3190...weakest stocks of the year(STI) Genting , NOL, Capitaland, CapitalmallsAsia, CityDev,COSCO,Noble,Olam... thus far falling 12% ~ 30% for the year... the better performing stocks(STI) this yr is Jardine,DBS ,UOB, Keppel, Starhub...

BAsed on the above findings ... overleveraged companies and shipping companies(Revenue in USD) are under performing the rest by a lot ... interestingly alot of these companies are punters fav counters on the STI too...

finally got into shares trading online.

Would like to ask gurus there if you are trading through UOB Kay Hian? I wonder after the brokerage fee (both buy/sell) you will need at least a margin from 0.06 to 0.1cents to breakeven. Hence if you are into GoldenAgr or Hyflux which usually fluctuate couple of cents, you are like making enough to pay brokerage fee!

Is there any online trading broker that Dont or charge very little brokerage fee?

(1) Be a stockist !!! Zero comm trades....

(2) Join the synthetic providers like Saxo or IG. Very low comm, but cash upfront. No advisory inputs as well. Discount houses like eTrade, basically.

The local brokerages are assuming your credit risks without cash upfront, hence higher comm. For some (only some, unfortunately) dealers and remisiers, they are watching your stocks and perhaps could advise you on execution-related matters, hence they deserve a bit more.
