weather was good today...decided to detail my car...finally can get all my products to a good use

DSC_0002-1.jpg

firstly went to rinse the car with tons of water to loosen dirt...
DSC_0002.jpg

then rim is washed with microfibre wash mitt
DSC_0003.jpg

started off with a wash with meguiars nxt generation car wash... with 100% genuine sheep skin wash mitt ( poor sheep)

DSC_0004-1.jpg

being a kiasu...after rinsing the car off...i washed the car again for the 2nd time to minimize marring for the next claying step... this time i used Swissvax car bath

DSC_0006.jpg

my car on a bubble bath

DSC_0005.jpg

car is then dried with meguiar's waffle weave microfibre towel ( blower will be ideal..but i dont have a blower so WW microfibre towel is 2nd best option to prevent scratches and efficient water absorbtion)

Re: Look here if u like shiny black car!

Well done:) , bro! No wonder SFC is out of biz liao :nehnehhh: .

Re: Look here if u like shiny black car!

next step is claying... meguiar's white clay is used....

meguiars quick detailer will be used as clay lube... ( KY or durex is not used here)

DSC_0008.jpg

road grime from sar lau..geylang... SWC and BVO and other singapore roads is sticked onto the clay

DSC_0009.jpg

rim si then polished with meguiars nxt generation metal polish with autoglym polishing cloth.

DSC_0010.jpg

tire shine will be hi glaze 88 rubber protector... matte look... not shiny and oily

DSC_0011.jpg

was about to use Zaino leather cleaner and conditioner when 2 BMW-SG reinforcement arrived to talk cock ( OLL recommended me another leather conditioner better than zaino , shit forgot the name)

DSC_0012.jpg

maser GT and highly modded 335i

DSC_0014.jpg

they brought me something that help make my car shinier... ( well not exactly make my car shinier but keeping the guy detailing the car alive at least)

DSC_0028.jpg

can you read G R A N T U R I S MO

DSC_0026.jpg

back to my car... next step will be using pre wax cleanser.... Swissvax cleaner fluid

DSC_0013.jpg

this product is amazing..makes my car squeaky clean and shiny as hell...

after applyign cleaner fluid and half dead liao... finally time for the WAX

DSC_0015.jpg

swissvax concorso...with 50% carnuba content! equivalent to zymol concours ( Thanks to daniel aka OLL for giving me his expensive wax )

Like all high carnuba content wax... it needs to be melted and applied by hand else its hard and coarse

DSC_0017.jpg

dont be pervert and look at me... the main point is da car!

after waxing... it was too dark to take pics... will take after pics tommorow...

total did it in 10 hours... from 10am in the morning to 8pm at night...

it was damn tiring but rewarding... the shine of carnuba wax is amazing... different kind u get from zaino or other sealant.. looks very clear and deep...almost like 3D

Re: Look here if u like shiny black car!

LOL...these few day everyday rain..lolz..GOOD WORK TERRY..never take pic of before and after?

Re: Look here if u like shiny black car!

good job terry.
although ur result no good, but i am sure if u polish car for ppl, u can be a millionaire too..

Re: Look here if u like shiny black car!

That is some dedication there! I doubt u need to use a bluffing machine to polish ur car since its so well maintained.

Any streaks from the claybar? And did u drive out today? How's the beading of the water?

Re: Look here if u like shiny black car!

 Lots of dedication

Re: Look here if u like shiny black car!

Good stuff terry! Looks fantastic! Now i remember and know why you asked about carnauba wax's looks and durability in an earlier thread. :)

pls post more pics of your waxed car!

yah, the look of sealant vs wax on black cars is very difficult to explain... have to try it to know it. For waxes with high carnauba content, i would always put 2 layers cos I believe that there is an improvement in looks... and cold water helps wax cure faster... so driving out in the rain is not such a bad thing.

This inspires me to do some work on my black car too.. sigh.. not many swirls, but the water spots are killing me... too easily seen under florescent lights. I'm gonna have to bring out the machine and do the full process liao!

the water beading is amazing... now i have got a problem..

it seems that i have put too much wax... the whloe car is hazing now looks as if i got a lot of holograms...

i think i need to clean off the wax and reapply it.. but tried the water beading.. its unbelieveable... the water just slides off easily

lol too much wax is a hassle.. especially after your bonnet heats up due to the engine. its a pain to clean off

u got any idea if a quick detailer can remove excess wax?

or i need to reapply cleaner fluid...

i applied too much wax and some of the wax residue refuse to budge off...especially on the bonned... i was too kiasu
