Maybe what jerr is looking for is a description or some numbers on the specific point of failure that is typical in that specific model of engine. Being light and made of X alloy is too general to really examine anything. If there is a specific point of failure (or a few), there might be ways around it (them) that aren't too crazy

That said, sleeving a block (or any other engine machining/building process) is a very precise process to do properly, and sleeving can't solve certain problems.. like if the material supporting the sleeve is too thin, the bores are still going to move around under load, leak, etc. Improperly done, there's always the longevity factor and luck of the draw that can/will bite.

I have mod my car, with ECU PIGGY BACK tune. 15whp gain...~
I want to get spark plugs, anyone know which brand good to get?

Hey Wilson,

I have BMS PBX on my 323i. But my 323i is Canada version. 200HP stock. So I make 240BHP after BMS PBX, AFE drop-in filter + custom kidney grill air scoop.

On dyno from powerbox, it show about 30 crank hp gain.
In Canada 323i is stock 200HP.

So 200HP + 30HP = 230HP.
AFE Pro Dry S drop-in Filter maybe 5HP MAX.
And Performance scoop show about 10HP gain, (RPI SCOOPS).

And I buy MXP Catless header soon!

So I average my car around 240HP.
No dyno yet but next time I will post once i finish headers.

From Germany. Canada 323i have ZF transmission.
Packages are different in USA and Canada, but mostly almost the same.

hate to crush your dreams but PBX only ups 10-13% bhp/nm...what you mentioned 30bhp ...etc no where close mate...let us know when u come back down to earth. LOL!

Here our 335 coupe costs S$270k from the authorised dealer (before discount).
