Need help!!!!

Re: Need help!!!!

Don't have to panic, thats what the 2nd hand dealer are like, same things happens to me just few week back too.. Just my luck.. Pay & go, don't even look back.

Solution, send it the site sponsor & have a thorough check on the car, do up whats most important first & slowly get the others tidy up (when pocket hole is smaller). Better to get site sponsor check out the issue (pay small sum) so even when dealer say will do for you FOC (only if its minor issue hor..), you know what exactly they should be doing & not just put up some show for you to watch..

Enjoy your ride after, cheers.

Ur analogy wrong lah.

For 7 yrs old car, it is expected to have wear & tear parts especially ppl don't really sayang their BMW.

For brand new F30, it is unacceptable. If cannot bang table hard enuf, please look for Wobbles LLC to learn Buddha Palm.

Hi Guys,
I have recently bought an e90 end 05 model which I collected 2 weeks ago. Problems are starting to arise and I’m starting to panic as well.
Firstly, when I purchased the car, the sales guy pitched the most beautiful picture that anyone could imagine. Promised me many things such as sending the car for servicing and checks.

As of now, there are 3 problems that I’m facing.

1. Few days after collecting my car, I noticed my aircon vents having some smoke/vapour coming out once in a while. I don’t know if it’s too cold or what but I usually set my aircon temp at 22-23.5C.
2. After a week, my driver door suddenly was unable to be unlocked by the remote. I have to manually use my key to unlock it/wind down window and open from the inside.
3. Today when I just parked my car at work, when I switched off, the check oil pressure light popped up.

I'm really frustrated that all this is happening so fast and is the dealer trying to pull a fast one. Any lawyers here or peeps familiar with the lemon law able to assist me on what I can do? Don’t understand why in 2 weeks can all these happen.:verysad:

I called him to check again.. Thanks again all for the quick response. He said the workshop is tecnic automotive at sin ming. Anyone been there or any feedback from there. Am also googling around for feedbacks.

Website for the workshop TECHNIC AUTOMOTIVE PTE LTD - your premier workshop who specialises in General Servicing and Repairs of Continental Vehicles like Audi, BMW, Mercedes Benz and many inclusive.

Technic is ok. Last year went to them for my Active Steering repair work after recommended by my regular workshop as they do not have the necessary skill/equipment to do it. Glad that I only paid 1/4 of the repair cost as compare to other workshops recommending change to new rack

hi bro,dun be frustrated,i was in exactly the same situation like u last month when i got my 06 320i.lemon law only cover 6 months warranty for engine and gearbox.my tranny jerks And my flywheel and waterpump leaking.went back to the dealer,he askme to go to his workshop at kaki bukit.check also no check aask me leave the car there for 3 to 4 days.i sian alady.after getting info on from our helpful lao jiao i went down to bvo and 2277 to do all the rectifying jobs .i paid abt a few ks to resolve these.fyi, i change my absorbers, all the hoses, rectify the engine leaks issues and tge solenards valves for the famous stop and jerk issues that many e90 faces.went back to the dealer and bang table, they told me they wanna honour the engine flywheel issues but is i who do not want to go to his workshop.in the end they paid me back 1k .i faster take and zhao.now i enjoy my ride, and hope he does not fall sick alady.so 1st go to some of the bmw site reccommeded workshop for a full body checkup, then bring to your dealer workshop to rectify.if u r not comfortable with them then pay the bill yourself and ask your dealer maybe half half or wat.just my 2 cents

Re: Need help!!!!

05 E90 model and oil pressure lighted up, you better visually check your engine whether got sludge up or not. Open up your engine oil cap and look inside with a torchlight. If you see black thick stuff inside(google engine sludge to see pix) This is going to be a very costly problem. Better negotiate with the dealer to solve this. Damage should be around 3-10k depending on the condition.

Re: Need help!!!!

Agree with you bro Zincman, you are lucky to get the 1k.

I bought my e90 way before the lemon law come about, and all repairs came out of my own pocket.

2nd dealer will either not fix, drag their feet, since they lose margins when they pay for repairs. Actually used car with or without lemon law still used car and just don't expect zero repairs, even if it's maintained properly.

Let alone those that's been driven hard and not maintain well by the 2nd or 3rd owner.

Re: Need help!!!!

I have a stupid question - assuming you know the problems associated with a used BMW that old, would you still buy it?

Are there not any other choices?

Re: Need help!!!!

Unless willing to fork out $ to fix all the probs? Can't see a reason to.

Re: Need help!!!!

Whether got lemon law or not, used car would always have wear & tear part. It is either previous or current owner to replace it. Buyer of used car should expect that there are wear & tear parts to replace. If this basic expectation is not there, 1 should not buy it.

I have uplorry alternator in the middle of climbing Shears Bridge.

I have uplorry fuel pump at 11pm in Bugis.

I have uplorry water pump at 6am in East Coast Park. This was replaced when i bought the car.

Overall, i am happy with my previous E39. It bring smile to me whenever i drive it and i drive it real hard especially in Msia B road.

Re: Need help!!!!

Uplorry everywhere !!!

Re: Need help!!!!

Wholeheartedly agree with what you said bro.

Used car definitely have to allocate some $ to fix it, as sooner or later one gotta pay for wear and tear items.

So far my situation better as all my cars, including the e90 now have not broken down as i always try to fix them up before they leave me stranded somewhere.

Save some $ buying used already so better allocate some budget for repair money.

So far i only kenna stranded twice:
- once was a dead starter motor, many years back
- drive until ran out of fuel, underestimated the fuel reserve, again many years back lol

Re: Need help!!!!

Well, funny thing was that i was going upslope but just had enough momentum to clear it and then cruise casually to the side of the road.

Made a call to my colleague to come rescue me what else haha?

She arrive like in like 20 min, bring me go shell station and buy a can of petrol lol

Nowadays i pump when left 2-3 bar, or quite soon after reserve fuel lights up.

E90 fuel pump use petrol to cool it so try not to run it empty. Avoid more damage on pocket later lol
