Yesterday took a leisurely ride to big bird chicken rice to buy lunch. With packs of chicken rice, decided to drive slowly in case all the chicken land up all over the cabin.
Stopped at the junction ... sat there smelling the chicken ...... Then this Picanto behind whacked my rear bumber.
I came out, Picanto guy came out .... Then this guy behind him also came out. All look at me ....... Then I said "who's the mofo ?" ..... The guy behind raised his hand and point to the guy behind him. Then tell me his neck pain. Chao keng .....
Told them all take out license - all take out and started exchanging and taking pictures of the license. Then we all go around taking pictures of the ride. Look like a circus.
After that I took off went back and called Aviva. Damn solid .... They got a Mars guy to come down and help make report. Then after that email me the report at 12.32am today so I can go to their authorised WS tomorrow - which was Munich.
But the part that screwed up was the Mars guy when he check the car, asked for the key, turn on the ride and left it there for 2 hours with everything running. Only realized when I headed off that I got a flat battery. Called Aviva and they told me got free roadside assistance service - so I got them to send the guy down to jump start the ride. Initially they wanted to send a flatbed (for free) but I told them no need.
Along the way - one of the bros was in the vicinity so he came down and I samponged my ride and cancelled the roadside assist.
The report I received stated that Aviva will settle everything for me and will claim the other party direct. I just have to bring the car to MA, repair and claim whatever ....
I have to say this is a far cry from another insurer I had last year for my other ride that totally pissed me off. No assistance and best part - no lawyers .... Tell me I fight my own case and hire my own lawyers at my cost (same type of incident - my ride stationary and got hit from behind). And this insurer's authorised WS - all never heard before. And the excess is double of what I have now and the premium is also 30% more .... Like as if I have 20% NCD only.
Rant over ......
