Running Costs between 325 and 335?

Re: Running Costs between 325 and 335?

when i got my 335i cab three weeks ago, the FC was 5.8 km/l.

now, at 2,000km, the FC is 6.2 km/l.

target FC 7.0 km/l in 6 weeks time.

Oh ya, sports mode on, top down, orgasmic...for both guys and gals.

Re: Running Costs between 325 and 335?

I actually don't want to post here otherwise people say I bragging.

But for sake of sharing, here's my FC:

325 - 6km/L
335 - 5km/L

100% city driving. In peak hour jams and lots of traffic lights.

Re: Running Costs between 325 and 335?

I'm getting approx 7-7.5 per litre....on a E92 335i

My ride is mainly 60% expressway, 40% city as a gauge. (but to be honest, even Eway driving nowadays is like city driving with the massive jam and/or other traffic incidents etc)...

Hope the above helps in some minute way...

Cheers...

Re: Running Costs between 325 and 335?

335 will probably give you abt 7.5 km/l

Re: Running Costs between 325 and 335?

Re: Running Costs between 325 and 335?

Guys... i just mvoed from an E90 320i to a F10 523i and u know what surprised me was FC

I was getting
9km/l average on my PFL E90 320i (ZF gearbox, 6 spd)
8.5km/k average on my E90 320i LCI (GM gearbox, 6 spd)
9km/l average on my F10 523i (ZF gearbox, 8 spd)

Re: Running Costs between 325 and 335?

I think what you are trying to say is that you expected the FC for the new 5er (F10) to be worse than the older 3er (E90).

Couple of reasons why F10 is efficient:-

new N55 engine which is more efficient than comparable engines
Start-stop technology which cuts the engine when car is halted
Use of reinforced carbon polymer to lighten weight of car while retaining chassis rigidity.

Just to share, looking forward to my F10 in Sep. Woo hoo.....

Re: Running Costs between 325 and 335?

Average 7.5km/l on e93 normal driving. 70/30 city/expressway.

5 is cfm sports mode :woowooo:

I reckon e92 will do slightly better.

Cheers~
