munich can do warranty claim for pml's car?

will go to munich for my last servicing too especially for the "near end of warranty" check and replacement ($0 for part and labour?) :D

Yes. Munich covers PML warranty.

Suggestion: Go to TWM and ask them to do a thorouogh inspection... they have every reason to be thorough. Even if TWM report shows no fault, you can decide to buy warrnaty or not at a later date... nearer to your PML warranty expiry.

Then base on TWM report, ask Munich to rectify any fault, plus full warranty-check inspection.

Re: Servicing at Munich Automobile

TWM charge for "thorough inspection" whether to buy their insurance immediately or later date?
i intend to do this 1 month before warranty expires.

from my understanding, Munich only takes over PML warranty as the PML warranty claims are with BMW Asia, which they deal with for ///M car warranty issues as well.

As for PIs, their warranties are usually with TWM or BMW specialist workshops so it's unlikely.

Re: Servicing at Munich Automobile

it's obvious, isn't it.

AD car, either PML or Munich as both can claim BMW Asia
PI car, go back to their assigned workshop to claim -> if not pay $30k adoption fees to PML

Hi Bros,

A little confused: - you mean if we bought our cars from PML, we can opt to get it serviced / porblems fisxed at Munich Automobiles??

Reason for asking - I've given up on PML staff in solving our problems...so if there's a new avenue to try, I reckon its worth a try...

Yes, we could go to Munich for the FIRST 2 YEARS BMW Dealer Warranty... The 3rd year warrenty maybe only given by Performance Motors. Following are the T&C of the BMW warranty:

First and second year.

The BMW dealer warranty.

From the date of its first registration, your new car is guaranteed to be free from defects in materials or workmanship for a period of 24 months with no limitation on the distance covered in that period. Remedial work under warranty must be carried out at a BMW Authorized Dealer(PML/Munich). Parts for which replacements are made become the property of the manufacturer. This warranty is not affected by any change of ownership and is valid throughout the world.

Third year.

The BMW dealer warranty.

The third year of the warranty on your new car is provided specifically by Performance Motors. Whilst the scope of what is covered by the warranty is similar to that of the original manufacturer’s warranty, it is limited to a maximum distance of 100,000 km or up to 3 years, whichever is sooner. This warranty is valid internationally (terms and conditions apply) and is also conditional upon the car having a complete service history with BMW Authorised Dealers. All replaced parts become the property of Performance Motors. This warranty is unaffected by any change in ownership.

The following are service items or components that may require periodic replacement or adjustment as a normal part of motoring wear and tear. As such they are not covered by the warranty unless required as part of a valid claim on an associated component.

Consumables such as spark plugs, lubricants and fluids, brake pads and linings, brake discs and drums, manual clutch assemblies, auto gearbox clutch lining, seals and gaskets, exhaust mufflers, absorbers, strut inserts/cartridges, all bushing rubber/ plastic/nylon hoses, rubber bellows, dust covers, tyres, belting, belt tensioner, bulbs and fuses, weather strips and rubber run channels, rubber mountings, ball joints, universal joints, electrical connectors, trimming, upholstery and cosmetic finishes, wiper blades and arms, glass, all fasteners, cleaning and adjustment of any component, deterioration of surfaces and materials due to natural elements and usage. Damage to components caused by accident or willful neglect is not covered.

Bodywork is covered by the BMW Anti-Corrosion Warranty.

• 6 years from the date of registration on all cars registered up to 31 December 2003.
• 12 years from the date of registration on all cars registered from 1 January 2004.
