No lah....think you got it wrong. After MOP of 5 years can buy private and still keep the hdb

I thought it came out tat one if buy after 30 aug 2010 have to sell their subsidies HDB if they wanna buy private...tats y I am not selling my subsidise HDB. I wanted to apply a new bto but was told by the hdb officer I got to sell my new bto flat if I wanna buy private condo after staying 5 yrs in the new bto if I manage to get..

If u own private property overseas then u cannot buy subsidize HDB...but after u buy subsidise HDB u can go buy overseas private condo..

not all hdb is very clear on the rules also
keep changing till they themselves also blur

u only max 1yr +

I have one question Gurus, when was the last major property crash and how long did the prices drop to lowest after the crash before coming back up.
How many percent is the drop is prices during the crash?

Bro, need your expertise advice. The property now I am staying is under me & my wife name. Due to the new cooling measures implemented. Can I buy the next property under my name than buy another property using my wife name? All in all, both names got 2 properties under our name. Can it be done in this way?

should be no problem if you are not living in a hdb that is purchased after aug 2011 (must sell if buy another property)

sporean won't kena ABSD for 2nd property :D

From HDB to Private condominum .......... no need to sell HDB...

From Private Condominum to HDB... U need to sell your Private condominium.....

if require loan, i think second property lower LTV..unless u have existing loan on the first one..

resale is 2 years MOP, 1st hand HDB is 5 years MOP

i tot even not fulfilling 5 years MOP, still can buy private, just that must continue to stay in HDB only. so, buy private for investment is ok, no ABSD somoremore :D

Typically CPF grants are given in resale....If u took a grant its 5yrs MOP regardless ... U die die must fulfil 5yrs MOP before u can buy private residential property...

If u bought a resale flat without HDB grant after August 2010 its 5 yrs MOP standard liao ... anything else before the MOP varies depending on when u bought the resale flat.. previously MOP is only 1yr if u nv take CPF Loan or Housing grant..

If within MOP..u can buy commercial property though...as it is exluded...by HDB defintion of commerial property..it must be 100% commercial and not those downstairs shopping mall upstairs residential kind ie there should not be any residential component in the building...
