Maybe he panicked and decided to drive off but return to retrieve the plate when he realised it came off so it woluldnt be trace back to him?

Unfortunately he abit suay to have a group of vigilante Internet savvy cyclists there

I be the first to admit I drive faster than I should at times
So I don't really wanna judge/comment on that aspect

But he should have at least stop to offer help when he screwed up
Think most will be a lot more forgiving then because he had the guts to do the right thing

He is already damn lucky IMO
Had he knocked down the cyclist instead of the dog, I wonder what will happen

Not sure if got conviction will be barred from carrying the national flag in the future. Wonder what else he can/will do if not bowling

Hit a dog and license plate drop off? What a coincidence.... And how did the plate drop off zhun zhun... The double tape on plates doesn't come off THAT EASILY

Actually, the licence plate on a stock Boxster is attached to a curve backing

If the licence plate shop didn't heat up the plastic plate with a heat gun, then pour cold water over it as it is being pressed against the curved backing to conform to the curve, the licence plate will come off partially over time. At least at the edges.

Happened to me before and the redo my licence plate at another shop. The shop owner did the heat gun/water process and explain it to me. Plate was swee swee since

its roadkill, not that bad....won't warrant a conviction, probably a warning nia since its public knowledge liao.

i guess the appeal of witness is kinda overkill....yes, we are all not happy with the way he chose to respond but then again, honestly speaking, what can those 4 witness prove. he killed the dog? yes, he admitted to it....but its an accident, nobody would be siao to go langga something or someone, probably drive too fast n not pay attention enough to the road.....unless u say he siao lang, go floor the car to langga animal.

as for Mr Ong, its actually best he just talk less.

Sigh he should have just stopped. I am sure he is a pet owner too. Perhaps the dog could not be saved, but at least he will live with less guilt.

to all those people who whack remy on behalf of the dog......

its unfortunate and sad.....shitt life for a 3 yr old pregnant stray. but wud u hv rescued or fed the stray or adopted it when u c it running around last 3 yrs of its life? i mean its all too ez to kpkb now about how evil remy has been and how irresponsible he has been.

i hv never hit a dog b4. slept some bitches perhaps. but i have ran over snakes n monitor lizards while mountain biking on my bicycle and once over a giant python with my dad in punggol. knn u expect me to get down and sayang the injured animal? how different are those from a dog?

on hindsight, we all expect remy to behave differently cos he is a national athlete and because he hit a dog which is a man's best friend. perhaps. i will not disagree. neither do i know the facts and the human emotions that can erupt after one hits a dog. its ez to criticise....its free actually.

Python and Dogs are different. Python is python, Dog is a dog.

At least move the dog aside to prevent other vehicles from running over it whether its still alive or dead.

Even if its a python, if it wouldnt hurt you shifting it to the side, move it, not for the animal's sake, but for other road users, motorcyclist etc.

This kind of case will be blown big as long as the culprit's is identified and given to the media. Remy is just unlucky cos he is "famous", speedup the identification.

As usual many online are asking what if it was a goat, mouse, monkey, then how? And many do not know its actually an offence NOT to stop..even for animals...

Well it is.. under Section 84 of the Road Traffic Act.. and "animals" is defined as “any horse, cattle, ass, mule, sheep, pig, goat or dog".

So...in Singapore, most likely only "dog" applies.

And what does driving a Porsche got to do with this hit and run? So if Remy drove a Picanto, it would have been ok? Netizens are crazy.
