Yah, after all that, you will remember that we still bring our own management over to Suzhou when we started the industrial park project. It is only natural you want the control in your hands.

Hence natural to see expats managers in hired here to run foreign banks and companies.

Point is - Singapore wanna be a regional/global hub, gotta accept the fact there will be regional/global influx of human capital here.

Actually, I think he would - he has the credentials - Double Firsts from Cambridge in Law. That's all that matters now, isn't it? Paper qualifications?

The reason for import due to aging population was the most tulan .....

What's the point of issuing citizenship to those import aged 35 and above, whereby they will grow old at the same time as we do...that caused more burden on our aging population isn't it (in 2020 or 2030 or 2040)?

The right way is to slowly convert the ft students (young, preferly here for primary sch) that came here to study (not on scholarship pls, must earn them $$ first b4 we start to give). This should be the correct way to tackle aging population, and at the same time, as they study and mixed with our children, they would learn & pick up our culture, thereby lesser conflict as they turn citizen. At least they can speak basic or better inglish.

These way will also help to cushion the property & our transport system. Luckily, they admit they got no foresight, but still not too late for the next 200M import.

U don't hv to apologies. Understanding Economic growth is not for everyone, and u won't read it on Straits Times.

We are beyond waitresses, mechanics , construction workers taking the jobs. This are low wage. It's the median income folks that is being squeezed. As there are other Indians n Pinoy willing to work for less.

We import workers in the low end n the high end where we need that low cost base n the high value add respectively .
