Its quite clear to me that these were your own imputations on her actions and character.

I may disagree with you on that... but i am not going to complain and insist that you are posting all these because you are trying to rack up your post count. Irrelevant.

Her actions and character is clear for all to see. I don't need any imputations on my part.

And pray tell, what is my level?

Seems to me you're getting off point now.

Please se my last post to MW. If you can't understand what I'm to say, then there's no point having this debate with you any longer.

Its the spirit and motive of her actions that gave me the impression that she was trying to get political mileage. Like some of us have said, she could have instructed or delegated the task to someone else ie grass root leader or police to look into the matter while she spends her energy and time on more important matters. Marine Parade is not the only housing estate in Singapore whereby people throw stuff out of their houses. Can you imagine if every MP or Minister were to do what our dear TPL is doing, we might as well chiat pa tan si liao.

Re: So this is what the MPs are busy with .......

Over the last few years, we are seeing a shift in general mentality from apathy to one becoming of a secular witch-hunting on anyone from the incumbent camp. At times it can be so senseless anything can be used to slam the subjects. But take one step back, think hard, and we will be less critical and more objective in the longer term political objectives of both camps.

A friend told me he hates his wife so much nowadays. He has lost all passion and love for her. He thought of divorcing her but cannot pull the trigger. Not just about the kids and family, but she has been a reliable wife thusfar. He has affairs after affairs outside BUT still could not find anyone better than his wife in her life-long partner role. If he could found someone better as a wife, I am sure there is no need to sulk and complain. He understands that sugar-coated affairs do not mean anything. He knows that the sweet passion and good sex outside will still revert into the same state of affairs after he divorced his wife and start all over again.

I told him to focus on the merits of the relationship and try to work things around the marriage. I cannot fathom any positive aspect of whining about his wife everyday.

Wah, this post not simple.

On a more serious note, TPL was doomed the day she was elected. Too much negative publicity and baggage. She is in a no-win situation. Do anything also tio one. Whether she did it deliberately to get mileage or sincerely as a MP is not relevant, the negative perception around her is so bad that she will never be seen as doing anything right. Best is to keep quiet and lay low but pple will say u jiak liao bee anyway. If I were her, I would be wondering what am I doing all these for.

Very simply - If today, Low Thia Khiang was the one catching the tampon thrower, what would you have said?

He connects with people and knows the citizens very well and took it upon himself to do what the police failed to or were unwilling to do. He tirelessly went up every floor, knocked on every door to try and find the culprit so that his residents and the good people of his estate would not suffer at the hands of that vandal. Low has shown his tenacity in his belief that things needs to be done TOP down and not delegated to anyone else. Leadership by example and no such thing as too tough or minute for a leader of a major party to get his hands dirty for. He is a man of the people, by the people and for the people.

He da man and should be next PM as he is truly the SON of SINGAPORE!

then we go to HAMMER TIME 2016!!

Truth of the matter would be that LTK would be politically savvy enough not to do something like this. TPL is a newbie in politics, that's why.

Low Thia Khiang spends alot of time in coffeeshop "connecting with people". Did anyone once said he's not worth his salt for the money he's getting as an MP? Newbie or not, she's going some work. Give credit when it's due.

Re: So this is what the MPs are busy with .......

Actually, what changes have WP instituted since GE2011? Name three.

I am not a fan of the men-in-white either, but what has the Hammer done? Just nail the problems and not provide a solution? That is what is required of an opposition?

But wait, surely someone will say - they are not big enough in the parliament...... hence can't do much.....

To me, voting is akin to choosing the lesser-evil.

Speculation, your honour.

Somehow, some of us have become cynics that regardless on the intention of the doer... we are clouded by our own perceptions and prejudice... arent we gracious to allow people to try and change the world? What if others treat us that way too?

Re: So this is what the MPs are busy with .......

Some people grow up, others don't. TPL has shown that she has grown up from the lass who didn't know anything. i'll give her a pat on the back because I still can't stand her face.

Haters will still hate so it's pointless trying to get your message across. This is coming from the bunch of us who don't have kids because it's dreadful to see how our kids will turn out.

Who stole rationality? I need TPL to use her $15,000/month salary man hours to find it back for me. And if you think her job is that great, please do run for the next election. If you can put up with the pressure, my hats off you.

There are many ways to get recognition, what I am saying is that the way TPL does it shows her political naivety. In any case, she will never get anything done right as far as many people are concerned.

She should just stay away from public media as much as possible and just do her job quietly.
