Bro,
Do you know if it comes in quads or not? Thanks.

Yes, it does. But it will cost you a bomb - just the muffler alone. Do give Jeep Chee a call to believe :shakehea: .

Finally got the Supersprint catback system (muffler,mid-pipe/resonator, connecting pipes) .

Thanks to Juzz for Cars & Jeep Chee for fast professional installation.

With help from a BMW Performance intake, the Supersprint opens up the engine from 1800 rpm upwards with a confident surge of fresh power. Engine feels more free & eager, less choked and subdued than stock.

Sound? The reassuring non-intrusive growl grows to a ballsy roar as you push the engine. Attitude with subtlety.

Solid construction. The 80mm tips look stylish and add a nice touch of character.

Congrates on your SuperSprint mod 8) ..

Re: Supersprint Exhaust

After 200K & 3 days for DME to adapt, I'm getting a clearer sense of what the exhaust is doing.

Basically, the improved gas flow opens up more "room to rip" on top. The engine feels less constrained and weighed down.

This is not 335 territory. You don't gain tons of crude monstrous force. But there's certainly enough added thrust & responsiveness to facilitate a distinctly more athletic & responsive driving experience. This nicely complements the enhanced handling of the KW coilovers, or any handling mods you might have installed.

Sorry, Supersprint is not so loud that it scares people standing nearby. Nor does it remind you constantly of it's presence. I suppose this accounts for its limited appeal among exhaust buyers. But you can hear the no-nonsense confidence depth of its tone.

Re: Supersprint Exhaust

Hi dsdfan,

You mean 200k in $ for car, the supersprint exhaust and everything else you installed, rite? So how much did the exhaust alone set you back by?

Re: Supersprint Exhaust

i guess he meant after 200KM & 3 days of driving

Re: Supersprint Exhaust

The Supersprint was allowed to clock 200 kilometers so the DME could optimise air-fuel ratio in response to the increased gas flow.

At this point, the DME has restored the torque below 1500 rpm, although the Supersprint still seems to favour mid-to-high RPM action rather than lugging heavy loads uphill at the lowest RPM.

From as low as 1500 rpm upwards, you can feel the juicier surge and meatier muscle.

Some declare that aftermarket exhausts are only good for making noise. This may be true of certain brands, but Supersprint actually transforms your car into a meaner machine. Not only does it sounds as if there's a larger, more menacing engine under your hood, it actually drives like it too.

Now it feels like I could use a brake upgrade.

Re: Supersprint Exhaust

btw dsdfan, from personal experience, your brand new ss exhaust will get louder with time. reason being that the muffler wool (or whatever the heck u call that lining) hardens with mileage and it's sound dampening ability will reduce.

i experienced that after switching to aftermarket exhaust as well... after a few months of driving it is distinctly louder than when i first got it.

Re: Supersprint Exhaust

You are right, Kaiser. My regular passenger, who does not know about the new exhaust, did not notice the difference in tone until three days later. It's finding its voice and sounding bolder by the day.

I'm delighted that the Supersprint passed the Vicom noise & emissions test with flying colours.

While at Vicom, I saw a driver escorted there by a TP because of the huge Milo-can exhaust protruding from the rear of his _ _ _. During the test, he had to stand next to the TP's bike like an schoolboy, after which the computer screen displayed his result: FAILED. Now he must now pay for a new legal exhaust, a TP fine & Vicom test fees.

Moral: install only legal & certified exhausts.

Glad that the Supersprint passed the Vicom noise & emissions test with flying colours.

Re: Supersprint Exhaust

After driving with the Supersprint for a week, I was surprised to see my fuel consumption fall to an unprecedented figure, as calcuated by the on-board computer. This is lower than I've ever attained with this car.

The car also cruises on expressways with a lighter touch on the accelerator, which is corroborated by lower readings on the fuel economy meter during cruising.

This is not because I've been driving more conservatively this past week. I've actually been "training" the DME to optimise fuel/air ratios in the mid to high revs.

It seems interesting that an exhaust upgrade can also enhance engine efficiency.
