Sigh... Arsenal are playing too many games in a short time... played Ipswich twice and now Leyton Orient. Not forgetting we are still in Carling Cup.

Actually Guys, I think that objectively (if I can be), Arsenal were the better team on the night and should win. Our keeper wasn't kept too busy (one or two good chances only for Leyton).

What frustrates me is that this is a match we should win (easily) and yet we could not finish them off. What makes it worse is that this now adds another date to our crowded fixture list.

The replay is on 2nd March, which is the week before the Barca return leg. What should we do? For me I would stick to this same (possibly less potent and effective) reserve squad for the replay.

If the clowns mess it up again, we have no choice, (not that I like it), gotta save the bigger players for the weekend and Barca game after that. Gotta prioritise now.

Yup Arsenal were the better team by far, they should've won comfortably.....but they didn't deserve to win. To me, any team that concedes an equaliser like that doesn't deserve to win.

Agree with you on the replay.....hope they can progress further for both tournaments, but CL is the ultimate cup trophy!

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

Spurs slipping in league.... Will they be in top 4 by season end?

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

The Reds' squad to take on Olympique Marseille is as follows:

Goalkeepers: van der Sar, Kuszczak, Lindegaard
Defenders: Vidic, O'Shea, Brown, Rafael, Fabio, Evra, Smalling
Midfielders: Scholes, Gibson, Nani, Carrick, Fletcher, Bebe, Obertan, Tunnicliffe
Strikers: Rooney, Berbatov, Hernandez, King.

i think tonight our line up most likely be like this!
vds.....rafeal,smalling,vidic,evra........nani,scholes carrick fletcher (rooney right wing)...... berbatov.
however a bit light on the bench!

prediction...united bros???

Hey Jon!
Naturally, I'm hoping for ManU loss (by a big margin) so that they will be distracted if we can make it through to the next round of the FA Cup ( shucks! counting chickens against Leyton).

However, on account of the fact that I saw that you are a Saint in Hitmee's other thread, I shall give some discount and hope for 2-0 to OM only!

Mighty undertaking here!

Ha Ha Dash
Can you Reds please try very, very, very hard to get into 4th. I would prefer you guys get into the CL rather than Chelsea (jealous of their bankroll) or worse, Spurs (cannot tahan the Twitcher ... looking at him gives me a headache).

I will cheer Pool every game ... except the one against us, of course.

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

All the talk about ManU, Pool and I almost forgot that Arsenal are playing Stoke tonight.

I hope they don't do another Ramsey on us. We just need to win this game to close the gap and more importantly ... no injuries or broken legs.

Come on you Gunners!
