Transfer runours:

Liverpool linked with yet another midfielder?
Now Sissoko from some french club
really overstaffed in midfield.
Aqualani yet to depart....
still got that Milan Jovanovic.....
news say Meireles unhappy, Juve might not have cash to spend on him..

This is exciting
Cesc to leave for Barca, and Arsenal to sign Juan Mata.
I say let Cesc leave if his heart no longer there.
Juan Mata is exciting new talent.

Dunno Sergio Aguero will don what club colors come august.....
so many ppl on the move!
Sanchez courted by Chelski and Man C.
is his style suited for BPL? never seen him play.

I agree... as much as I would like Cesc to stay but if his mind is set on Barca, we wont get the best out of him. And, if Nasri stays, he'll get to play in Cesc's position. So it is not really a doomed situation if he goes.

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

I think that AW is probably prepared to sell Cesc. He just wants to extract out the best price. If a a player like Carroll (in his first BPL season) can join Liverpool for 35m surely Cesc is worth more. I suspect that AW is just saying that Cesc is staying and doesn't wanna sell blah, blah just to negotiate for a better price.

We can still rely on Nasri (if he renews his contract) Wilshere and Ramsey.

Edit : Jon, I think that photo no good. I remember sometime in May, you had a very nice photo on. That one very suitable.

I'm not a Man U fan, but this is

SINGAPORE: Students at Northlight School got a surprise on the first day of the new term when Manchester United star Nani visited them for a talk on Monday morning.

The visit was to promote the Peter Lim Scholarship, which is part of the Singapore Olympic Foundation that is run by the Singapore National Olympic Council (SNOC).

Students took turns to ask the 24-year-old questions about his childhood, the problems he faced and his football career.

"Think positive, you can be like me and be a star for a lot of people. Never forget what you want," said Nani, whose full name is Luis Carlos Almeida da Cunha, during a 15-minute Q&A session with the students.

"If you want to be a professional footballer, never give up, practice everyday, even when something goes wrong, don't give up. And do football with a smile."

The Portuguese star also signed autographs and juggled a football on the school's stage.

At a media conference later, Nani remained coy about his future at United, which has been the subject of speculation following the arrival of England winger Ashley Young from Aston Villa last week, although he sees himself staying at Old Trafford for a long time.

Nani, who is here on a private holiday, returns home on Tuesday.

"Nani is a good inspiration to young people, and relates well to the kids," said SNOC vice-president Ng Ser Miang, who was also present at the event.

"He gave them simple but powerful messages like never give up and pursue your passion. He's a living example himself."

About 400 scholarships, ranging from S$2,000 to S$20,000 annually, are available for students from primary up to tertiary level. The application for the scholarships closes on July 1, 2011.

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

yes,

thats whats sports men must do.
they are idols to many children, and what they do on/off the field has impacts.
I salute Nani for that!

Children, please just learn the good things.
Learn to play till age 37 by taking care of your body and listen to your manager.
Please learn good thinhotgs and avoid the bad.
bad things like 2 timing your wife with your sister in law, is a no no.
or even like screwing your colleague's wife, also cannot.
if you have pay to get laid, at least get some SYT, not some grandmother la, more value for money.

Come to think of it, Nani was quite harmless. just throw trantrums.....
thats y they say old ginger more hot (pun intended)

Yo Nani! a pat on the back!!!!
