The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

I dare not think what would it do to man city confident if they did win
May be they will go on to win the title. Ha

too bad.
If they beat Chelsea I will cheer for them.

this is a classic example of the biasness man u receives. fergie is the only one who claims man u gets stick from referees. but it is obvious to the rest referees are just kissing his feet.

in no way the extra time warrants 7-8 mins. mark huges shld take a page from fergie's book and lodge a case against the referee.

kudos to city for a valiant effort and man u as always dog shitting luck

as always dog shitting luck?

like that no need to lose in Rome...no need to lose in Wembley...

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

First half was pretty even, second half dominated by the red half. No idea what the kelong ref was thinking playing the additional injury time, but the team still had to create and score the winning goal. Not like the ref awarded a dubious penalty and handed the match to them. Having scored an equaliser in the dying minutes of the match, Man City should have known better and not let their guard down until the final whistle, even if the final whistle took longer than expected.

Besides the ref, Foster and Ferdinand also kelong. Foster twice some more. LOL.

Me too, I can't comment on Foster cos I dont' play goalkeeper but for a defender, Ferdinand's pass is horrendous and unthinkable, even close 1 eye also cannot pass like that

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

if u review the game again...

bellamy scored his second goals on the 89.55 time
and celebrated for more than a min thus the added time to the original 4 mins!!!

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

Yeah I noticed that when the match restarted the clock was at around 91:15? Maybe he started the 4 mins added time from there. Think had Owen's shot gone wide or was saved, ref would have blown final whistle then.

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

Talking about luck, the Carvalho's tackle on Robbie Keane was a penalty. NOT given. Score was 1-0 to Chelsea then........

Yeah, saw that.... Can understand Redknapp fuming afterwards - so if it wasn't a penalty, then Keane dived? Then why no yellow card for Keane? So, Keane did not dive, but it wasn't a penalty? Which is it? lol...

Just food for thought...

Though they still have to go and score the goals while given more time to do it...

Strange how the analysis omitted similar studies on the other teams' allotted injury times when they did not have the lead. Especially since Man Utd's average is less than that at Anfield, Stamford Bridge and The Emirates - lowest of the top 4.

Besides, all these times mean nothing without context of what actually happened during each match that contributed to the data. And many forget that the injury time indicated by the asst. ref is a minimum proposed. Ref can add more at his discretion.

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

I am a liverpool fan, but the way i see it man u desered the win bc they scored even though its was beyond the added time. To me the problem is the ref, why did he add 7 min. that the issue, trust me if man city had scored SAF would hv killed the ref.

But u must give it to SAF, when man u scored he knew MH was very pissed, so he played mind games by joking with 4th official in front of him, prob to rub salt and maybe if MH was stupid enough some kind of reaction..

Keane was gesturing to ref to book him since its not a penalty then it must hv been a dive...anyway I think spurs would still hv lost even if it goes 1-1. Chelski was simply too good.

This morning I suan my fren who is a manu supporter. Told him manu won becos ref kelong give them extra extra time to score....then he told me manc can oso score wat....

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

10-men Chelsea lost for the first time in 7 games, putting Man Utd on the top of the table !!!

Interesting to see that the top half of the table has not seen a single DRAW GAME !!! Competitive season......

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

Fulham 0 - 1 Arsenal.

For once Arsenal gain some lucky 3 points. Mannone is 10x better than Almunia...

If Arsenal, Villa and City win their games in hand, the top 7 will be separated by 3 points.... interesting if it stays this way for the rest of the season!

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

without peter cech, chelsea is going to drop more points in the coming weeks. i hope!
