The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

Arsenal is a great team but lack composure, Man United are very lucky, they seem to ride on thier luck in the early stages until they hit the right gear, i guess a true mark of champions.

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

Spain is really a world cup title contender..... 5-0 against Belgium..... they literally played an exhibition game, stroking the ball so fluently.... which other team can afford to put Cesc Fabregas on the bench ?

Argentina will suck thumb after losing 1-3 to Brazil.....

Soft performances from England, France and Portugal......

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

England was lucky the Slovenian forwards all 'arh ka' that night. Soft penalty too. Play like that against the Croats and there might just be a repeat of the last Wembley meeting.

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

Didn't watch the match, but who would've thought England would be able to better their 4-1 drubbing of Croatia in Zagreb.... amazing 5-1 at Wembley! And Slaven Bilic thought he could out-mind-game Fab Cap and prey on Rooney's volatility.... lol

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

Yeah, Lumpar Jialat both 2 goals !!!

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

Spurs 100% record tainted by 10-men Man Utd !!! 1-3 !!!

Manchester is a dreaded city for Arsenal fans. First United, now City 4-2. I suspect Mark Hughes called Alex Ferguson before the game for tactical planning......

Chelsea still looking good. Liverpool climbing back.......

Scholes will never learn.... and what a typically bulldozing goal by Rooney.

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

If Arsenal are out of the title challenge by January again, there's going to be a player exodus during the transfer window. If they don't finish in top 4 this season lagi jia lat.

Man U vs Man City is going to be a very interesting match

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

It was either a kelong game (for the additional time added on) or the best game I have seen so far.....

Man Utd 4 Man City 3.....

At the 88th min, it was Man Utd 3 Man City 2......

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

either referee kelong or he needs to buy a new watch. six minutes into a four minutes of stoppage time still did not blow his whistle hmmmmmmm ?

in general the standard of BPL referees these days SUCKS big time.

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

What if Man City scored during extra time - what do you think Alex Ferguson would say?

Dead +1 = referee tends to sucuumb to home team. Just in last nite's match, you can hear the crowd pressuring the referee to end the game once City restarts the game. Lucky Man U (not good enough, but lucky).

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

this is a classic example of the biasness man u receives. fergie is the only one who claims man u gets stick from referees. but it is obvious to the rest referees are just kissing his feet.

in no way the extra time warrants 7-8 mins. mark huges shld take a page from fergie's book and lodge a case against the referee.

kudos to city for a valiant effort and man u as always dog shitting luck

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

the commentator said something like "soccer is the winner"...so true...though i'm Liverpool fan, i was hooked to the match throughout 96+ mins...kudos to both teams having created one of the very best derby matches in history...
