Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

Drogba is a good player, but somehow he loses his head in big and important matches.

Moan-rihno must be celebrating....

drogba has no sportmanship.

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

The sent-off was 3 mins from time, not much impact lah. Fact is - Mourinho is still DA MAN when it comes to mind games. His pre-game speech was zen.

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

what did he say exactly?

in terms of mind games both he and fergie got fight. but he does it like its 2nd nature

He said: "I have nothing to prove to Chelsea, nothing to prove to Chelsea players, Chelsea fans and the board.

"The only thing I can do is prepare for the game with all my qualities, with all my motivation and play the game tomorrow from my place with everything I have."

...focus of the blues will now be on EPL :( & FA cup

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

“I have nothing to prove to Chelsea, to Chelsea’s players, to Chelsea’s fans, to Chelsea’s board............ The relations are great. Will I be booed? I don’t believe I will be. I will be clapped........... Before the game I know everybody and I love them. After the game I know everybody and I love them. But for 90 minutes I know nobody."

"I will still be the Special One whatever happens. How old is Giovanni Trapattoni? Seventy? I want to coach as long as him but, even at that age, I will still have things to prove. That's my motivation. So, after this game, I will still be the Special One. Win or lose.”

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

indeed the special one!

You're absolutely right... I just cant stand them especially Drogshit & Csshley Hole.

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

The Special One's post match comments also damn wu seh.

"Sometimes in football you win because you're lucky. Sometimes you win because you are the best team. Sometimes you win because you were the best team from the first to the last minute. That team was my team and my players."

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

somehow when the special one says it, it doesnt sound as lao lan or offensive as fergie's comments

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

Easy draw for Inter, but Man Utd avoided Barcelona, Arsenal and Inter by taking on Bayern first.

2009/10 UEFA Champions League draw
Quarter-finals: 30/31 March & 6/7 April

1: Olympique Lyonnais (FRA) v FC Girondins de Bordeaux (FRA)
2: FC Bayern München (GER) v Manchester United FC (ENG)
3: Arsenal FC (ENG) v FC Barcelona (ESP, holders)
4: FC Internazionale Milano (ITA) v PFC CSKA Moskva (RUS)

Arsenal stand in Barcelona's way on UEFA.COM

Do note that Man Utd plays Chelsea on April 3rd !!!

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

wow, Bayern Munich and Man U renew their rivalry again!
and Arsenal take on Barca again....replay of the finals a few years ago!
on paper Inter has the easiest draw.
and how come got 2 french team play each other....looks like a bore!

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

The 4 strongest teams remaining are Man U, Barca, Arsenal and Inter. I am glad that Man U will not meet them till the finale. Hope they get there again.

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

Inter will have a high chance considering they have a "special one" behind...
But honestly, the way they play against chelsea was really good, chelsea on the other hand looks like portsmouth on that day...

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

I predict it will be a Man U vs Inter final

I hope so too. And SAF adds one more feather to his cap.

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

poor arsenal.....even if they managed to overcome barca, inter will be waiting.
tough route all the way

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

Anyone fancy the final between Arsenal vs Man U? I know it is going to be tough but it is not impossible.
