The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

geez, yes, that was one lousy game.

and like i mentioned before, come this stage, you can see who really are the
fans. Die-hard supporters or Man U haters more?
Everyone is entitled to their opinions, and so do I.
& because I'm a fan, I will choose to look at the positives.

The season has ended as far I'm concerned.
This season been a wash-out, a huge storm.

I'm looking forward, because after this horrible debacle of a season,
there will be wholesale changes, and it will be better.

If we want the rainbow, we must first embrace the rain.
and we're right smack at the end of the rain now.
but

when u walk, through a storm,
hold your head up high,
and dun be afraid of the dark.

at the end of the storm,
there's a golden sky, n the sweet silver song, of the lark.

walk on, thru the rain ,
walk on, thru the wind,
though your dreams be tossed and blown
walk on,
walk on, with hope in your heart
and You'll Never Walk Alone

You'll Never Walk Alone!

slap him :stfu::stfu::stfu: or shoot him :biggun::biggun::biggun: or kick him in the #$%%^&.... his laid back style (without goal / result) is just too much for the old faithful to stomach......

It's hard to find true diehard supporters now who support their club through thick and thin. Just too many glory hunters nowadays, including that ex-Arsenal supporter turned Man U supporter Class95 radio DJ.

I salute you.

during these periods.. liverpool were actually beating any teams amost at will...
kenny darlish.....ian rush...to john alridge...ian rush(bk from juv)... peter b/y.. john barnes..to the spices boys to name a few.All these legends play with lots of pride!

How badly did pool try to win?....tired?....come on....... football is a team game. You need more than 11players to win a match and title.
Hee hee I have been Pool supporter even longer. Who remembers Ray Clemence, Phil Neal, Phil Thompson and Kevin Keegan days? LOL

Think u r rite that mentally, Pool wasn't hungry 4 e win. But physically they did play 120 minutes on Thursday. But no excuses..:sleepy:

Did he turn to ManU supporter? I saw him on TV wearing ManU jersey but thot it was just for the show. Wah..i can't stand him.

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

I have been a Man United fan since the mid 80s, when Robson and Wilkins then Strachan marshalled the midfield, Paul McGrath guarded the back with Norman Whiteside and tiny Jesper Olsen player somewhat of a wingback. Huges and Stapleton completed picture. Never has Man United been so inbalanced in its history, with so much reliance on a few players. Since Ronaldo left, Man Utd has been rated as underdog, with the kind of depth of players. But, it is still contending with Chelsea until last day, even with a squad which looks more depleted than Man City's.

I think Man U has to increase its depth of players, but instead of looking abroad, I always wanted SAF to look into unpolished gems. For instance, Portsmouth has good players like Dindane, Utaka and O'Hara..... Burnley's Fletcher, Hull's Bullard, Mendy are good enuff to play Premier League football..... Finding gems like Diego Forlan, Seb Veron and Berbatov looked to be a failed strategy so far........
