upgrading from 650 to M6 or 911

hi fellow pals.

i have a 18 month old 650 which i am trying to sell right now. Or trade in with PML for a facelifted M6.

Porsche sales executive is trying to convince me to switch over. Either Carrera S or 4S. Also recommending a GT3 if i can afford. a little over budget.

need some views.

personally, i love my 6. and i like the rest of the facelifted 6. PML is out of stock for 650 but has an ex-stock for M6 (black and facelifted). Can collect within 2 weeks. 650 need to wait another 5 months.

headache...... stick to BMW or change ?

Ever thought what happen if there is a 655 akin to 335 but lies beneath a V8 twin turbo monster that might depress the 650 into a recession like what we witness in the current 330/335 situation.well, that's juz my wild guess....

Follow where yr heart goes, in this instance having own a 650 before, you shd go for the M, different league.

Both M and Porsche same pricing?

Sick of BMW and think that you had enough, then jump ship to Porsche

is it true that for resale market, M6 is very hard to resell as opposed to a porsche?

i think that's quite true. because more people will go for the porsche compared to the M6. but i would still go for the M6. bmw for life. hahaha

the GT3 I thought they froze orders until 2009 delivery, so somebody must still have stock if they recommended you that model.

You can have too much of a good thing. So if you had your fun with the 6 series already, why not go for the porker?

That being said, the Porker is not one for luxury, even the somewhat soft Turbo. You may not like it if you really love your 650. Even then, you may love the Porker so much more because of the raw experience is something you did not get from your 650.

A GT3 sounds good to me. Even a 997 C2S will be good.

You have to know what you want in your car. M6 is a big heavy GT thats very fast. The porker is lightweight (relatively) and not much of a luxury (again relatively) compared to the M.

Personally for now.. the only M I will buy is the 3 or (Z4 if that ever crosses my mind)

I vote for 911 for 2 reasons, 1st because u already own a 650 and 2nd because of depreciation...

Bro, without a doubt, switch to M6, dump in the EVOSport headers, pulley system and exhaust. You'll die a happy man.

Not a fan of the Carrera, or even the GT3. IMO, overrated and nowhere as unique as the M6 with it's V10. Dunno about you bro, but I'd switch over to the M6 without even blinkin an eye.

Eisenmann is a must on the M6. High rev it in the tunnel with ur windows down. Brings an instant smile and the drive is evergreen You'll need some time getting used to the SMG though.

Buy the M....I had one. You'll never find another car that drives like it......lose 150K in 22 mths? Its 150K well spent!!!
