Hmmm.............Somehow I knew that was coming......
Ermm....quite a chio lil' package if you ask me.....Somemore Hong Konger....so her English got that slight accent but not the irritating kind, if you know what I mean.....
As for board, let's go to WakeWorld Online Wakeboarding Magazine
to do some research for you my bro!
Do not go for something that you feel is "lower end" and think that you can upgrade when you get better or for some other reasons cos you will end up spending more just because you did not find the board that you really like.
You gotta know what you want. Whether it's just for leisurely rides or you serious about the sport and wanna be able to get to higher levels ASAP.
IMO, there isn't a perfect board out there but reading the descriptions about the board characteristics will give you some idea and hopefully help you choose what is right for your own style. Most boards were created outta the pros' indvd needs, so depending on how you perceive that particular rider's style and whether that's how you think you will ride, you make your decision.

Just go read up about the various boards out there and try not to rush into it. If the pro shops let you demo the boards that you are interested in, all the better. So, arrange for some demo boards this Sat, man!

This is the board I am using......notice the description that says that it is "forgiving, tracks well (means good grip when you edge and won't slip around but still being able to release easily when you want it)
But notice that it is a 2002 model.....HAIZ......LAO LIAO loh...............

The one we saw at Mike's shop, the grey and red jetpilot one. He charged me $140.
He gave me this handle Liquid Force Angel Wakeboard Handle - Women's 2006 : Handles | evo outlet
but it only means that i have to buy the line...
He has this Straight Line Thermal Wakeboard Rope @ Sun and Ski Sports - FREE SHIPPING
which i dunno if i wanna buy now since i'm not ready for a personal handle and line.... AND It's $180.

Go with the one you like, bro!
Usually, it's better to get the same brand for both Bindings and board so that you are assured of the right fit for the bolting. But you are quite different as in Bindings b4 board.....
Lemme warn you about the ROnix board. 3 stage rocker means = Super catapult off the wake! If you like more abrupt and ballistic POP like Danny Harf who designed the board (I Think) then go for it!
Not sure about the liquid force.......
My board not ex...My Bindings cost more than board.

Ronix One bindings are really comfortable and gives you superb control. One thing to note is to check the screws every time before you ride, as they tend to get loose. I've had to tighten mine everytime before the session.
In regards to the One board, as TobyNik has said, it is not a board for everyone. Better to demo your board before you get it. One tends to be less stable but good pop. For a good all rounder board, consider the Vault, which is the same board as Krush, just different graphics.

I think 3stage rocker is very common now and it's a good board to grow with but all will still boil down to the other parts of the board. My bindings are also more expensive than my boards because they last alot longer than the boards and they are the ones protecting you. But i don't know why, i kept thinking the ronix board would be a tougher board compared to the phillip soven one.
Philip as in Como was thinking of getting the board about the same time as the bindings but it so happened that the bindings were a great deal so he got that before the board.
Simon hia, i'm not getting the line but since the bloody handle is free, i might as well keep it. Hurhur.
