Ok, this part, PML did a good job. Now, when my car starts, auto start/stop is automatically disabled - except if I toggle it down to Eco Pro mode.

Fair is fair, when they do a good job, I'll say so. When they've done bugger all, then , that deserves to be brought to attention too!

Probably a bad seal in the headlights - hope the replacement fares better. More common in the foglights than the main headlight assembly. Agree not acceptable on a new car!

I reckon it MUST be easy to do, because it's the ONLY thing that PML got right with my car after I sent it in for the servicing.

Re: Water condensation in LED headlights

Fair is fair, like I said, and I like to call it as I see it, so here's the latest update.

I received a call from the Service Manager today, and they said they have acquired the new LED headlight sets for me. They'll be coming over to pick up the car tomorrow in the morning, and I should have the car ready for collection in the same afternoon.

That's the kind of service I expected from an Authorized Dealer in the first instance - and that's the kind of service that will keep a customer like me driving the same brand for a long time. I shouldn't have to bang table or threaten to call up old classmates to pull strings to get things done.

It's just a pity that the rotten record of me having to bring the car in for MULTIPLE times before an issue gets resolved properly still stands. And this is what pissed me off (and I can tell, a lot of the other bros here too) with PML's after sales service.

When the matter gets floated up to the upper level management, things happen chop chop. It's just sad that the upper level guys are so insulated from the grouses on the ground that we, the consumers, end up venting our frustrations on these forums - and end up leaving King Kong Buddha Dragon Slaying Palm Prints on PML's tables.

I'll update you guys after the headlights are changed. Keeping my fingers crossed that the water problem will be gone, and NO NEW ISSUE arises!

Fix m6 mirrors
The curves will deflect air and blow out the water

Re: Water condensation in LED headlights

Ok this is unbelievable. My F13 is now in the workshop, getting new headlights fitted. Great stuff. And, on the way to PML to view the progress, my F02 inexplicably develops a fault code: DRAIN ON BATTERY NOTED. KNNCCB. I don't have any video cameras in the car, there's nothing that would cause my battery to go low. So now my F02 is also in the workshop awaiting diagnostics. Fantastic.

Told you my recent luck not good. Once in PML, sure need second visit.

Now I'm driving my SE's E60. At least truth be told, my SE has been the only consistently good experience with PML so far.....

Hopefully you can still come and par birdies with us later Bro Wobbles.

Sorry to hear that - and your SE is very devoted to you, I don't even get a taxi voucher!

Re: Water condensation in LED headlights

In the short span of 2 hours, I've driven the F13, F02, E60 (my SE's) and finally, some good news, she got me a nice and cute as a button F20 116i SKD plate as a courtesy car. Can't fault her stellar service - I've never found her wanting in the 3 times I've bought cars from her, and she banged table hard enough to conjure up a courtesy car at the last minute.

At this rate, I'll have gone thru the whole BMW range at PML very soon!
