I don't wanna be conned when the dealer proposed to me that buying car with high COE has a differences and you get back more when 10 years ripe.

those dealer sucks la... after 10yrs whole COE used up = zero.

what u get back in 10yrs is the 50% OMV & maybe body scrap value.
e.g. BMW M7 body very high price - Sherman say one.

Look at it this way....

Assuming both cars same OMV and same COE, car A costs $70K more than car B..... which car will lose more?

Whether you drive to 10 or sell after 2 years, ZERO COE is the BEST scenario for any buyer. So WTF was the dealer saying? Higher COE better? Ask him/her to piak spyder.....

Re: What is the diff between buying $80K COE and previously $10k ?

i think COE is just timing issue upon getting it if u intended to drive up to 10yrs.

I brought 2 times COE , one i finished 7yrs & early renewal, lugi $35,000 by 7 yrs = $5000 a year. replaced it with a new COE $3162... kan song $316 a year. if I would to drive 17yrs my depreciation will be $2244 per year. So COE is worthless if u drive up 10yrs or replaced by another COE.

haha hitmee always counting everyday like our COE !!!!!!!!

COE is a daily basis calculation. each day the rebates become lesser porportionally include any leap year per day.

hi, if for 10 yrs, then no diff.

COE is pro-rated, so if you were to sell after 10 yrs, you can get back 70% of the COE value. a high COE implies a high paper value and that helps when things go downhill.

This is so stupid, it must be why COEs are being bid ever higher.

When buying car from dealer : This unit good ah, COE very high !

When trading in car to dealer : Can't give u much leh, COE so low...

KNN, the only COE that matters is the CURRENT COE !

80K COEs keep the Geely and the Perodua mat rempits on four wheels off our roads..... but every other racer is now driving an Audi and/or Bimmer instead....

Don't be silly.

Where got expensive = better. All are fucking lies and more lies.

Just learn to calculate one thing - DEPRECIATION. The lower, the better.

The cheaper the car, the smaller your loan, the lesser your interest.

COE is tax. Why bloody pay so much tax?

Unless for some reason COE in 3 years' time tank to $10,000 which I feel won't happen, then your car is only left with paper value if you intend to sell.
