What is the diff between buying $80K COE and previously $10k ?

Re: What is the diff between buying $80K COE and previously $10k ?

I think this forum is gentle. In the US forums, questions like "where to buy tyres" or "which workshop is good" will suffer from a swarm of sarcastic remarks. I mean, a swarm.

Re: What is the diff between buying $80K COE and previously $10k ?

I dont about US forum. I only feel that if someone posted some elementary or bizarre question and if you have nothing better to comment other than his intelligence, just leave the thread alone...unless u guys are good buddies and just taking shots at one another... I only know no one is perfect, and no one knows it all..this is why there is a forum to share our experiences and knowledge...we all start somewhere....i don believe im superior to anyone, likewise, i dont think anyone shld make me inferior to anyone here just because he or she may be a new car owner or newbie.

Re: What is the diff between buying $80K COE and previously $10k ?

Every forum is the same or should be the same. Its about sharing knowledge and experience, not SPOON FEEDING. There is a Search function, and if you cannot find it, there is Google amongst others. Is it so difficult to google for a workshop's address than to come in here to start a new thread asking what is the address? Is it so difficult to do a Search on which spray painting shop is good when there are countless of threads touching on this rather than to start a whole new thread asking "Hi Bros, can recommend a good spray painter for my ride?"

Finally , if a stupid question is asked, it deserves a similar response.

I don't think it is about bullying newbie or anywhere close to it. I have seen it in other forums too. The typical scrutiny and critiques are on newbie questions such as:

(1) Should I service at PML or BVO/Boss/J4C.......?
(2) What is the workshop address?
(3) Where do I view wheels and tyres?
(4) Where to buy bodykits?

And so on and so on. Fact is - a chunk of these questions have been asked and answered, and it is an easy task to SEARCH on this forum, or even google it in the internet.

Not about hostility or being critical, but there is a point about spoon-feeding as mentioned by MW.

I still cannot find the answer to a question that nobody had asked before.

Can AMG rims fit E90?

*run away*

I agree.

I've been here 2 weeks and am still sifting through posts to learn more.
There is a wealth of information, recommendations and bright poison doors.
If one has an issue as to whether info/recommendation is outdated,
it probably would be well received if some elbow grease had been expended;
and perhaps all that is required
is that confirmation is desired.

Have yet to have to ask but am sure that I may,
Something maybe elementary to bros here as clear as night and day.
So I ask for indulgence if I pose a puzzle which is profound to me,
And hopefully would not get hooted; have to wait and see. :shoot:
But even if I ganna, that would be absolutely fine.
Comes with the territory and better than LTA fine.

A newb and a lao jiao all share the same passion;
Bimmers it is and that has yet to go out of fashion.
Let's all break for lunch, look forward to beer or CKT and be merry;
If not, Chocs might just come in and claim alimony. :dance:

The newbie question is one thing. Posting downright wrong information in reply is something else and it should be flagged.

Don't be silly.

Where got expensive = better. All are fucking lies and more lies.

Just learn to calculate one thing - DEPRECIATION. The lower, the better.

The cheaper the car, the smaller your loan, the lesser your interest.

COE is tax. Why bloody pay so much tax?

Unless for some reason COE in 3 years' time tank to $10,000 which I feel won't happen, then your car is only left with paper value if you intend to sell.

Re: What is the diff between buying $80K COE and previously $10k ?

Whether COE high or low, the most important thing is to buy whatever you like and also within your means.

Do not look back after you have made the purchase. Just look forward to the next car you want to change to. Life is short and be happy.
