have tried castrol, mobil 1, voltronic, liqui moly
since i change oil every 10k, i do not feel much difference what oil to use
regular change is good for the engine

Yah true. But now BMW sets it at 12k so if you change every 10k, which is close to the 12k setting then probably better to get a good engine oil. I change mine at every 7k so if I use good engine oil, its a waste of money according to many people. But I like the smoothness of Amsoil European Oil so I still use it despite the rather expensive price tag. Mobile 1 should be good enough actually. Many kiam kanas out there will drive till after the 12k range and still use cheap engine oil. No wonder many cars overheated

dun liddat leh alot of ppl poor. aspire to buy bmw, earn every cent go and buy a bmw, eat plain bread daily just to drive bmw. 12k then change cheap oil. be nice ok.

12k change oil ok lah, use normal oil can liao. What I meant was those who drive way past the 12k km mark and then still use cheapo oil. Mostly those uncles and aunties who use it daily as a workhorse. My dad is one of them. Drive until way past 25k km then kam guan change oil for his old Merc E220

Anyone use Martini Engine Oil? Heard that they are good in protecting the vanos seals.

Do you go for tracking?
Such thick oil will feel very dragging and higher FC.

i'm quite fond of revving the engine.. so i thot a thicker oil will give it more lube at high temp

Actually, if you rev only on street driving, 60 weighted oil is actually an overkill.

Castrol 5W-30 FE Made in Japan with ACEA A5/b5 meets BMW FE specs...... saw it at autobacs for $95 for 4/L , changed at PML and they have no concerns so far great....
