Hi All....

I test drive the 325 coupe and 325 coupe hard top today...

I will go for 325 coupe...b'cos the 325 coupe hard top is more heavier and I feel
the fuel consumption is much more heavier than the 325 coupe...

As for 335 coupe is much more power than 325 coupe, but according to SE is about 1 - 2 seconds different from 0 - 100 km...

Correct me if I am wrong...

The 325i Coupe is plenty quick enough for me and our roads, especially in DS mode.

Re: Which would you choose? 3-Series Coupe VS Convertible

Chose the 335i cuz the lines of the roof looks much nicer. :)

no good poll, everybody will vote highest one and the 325 got no chance.

correct this poll is like assuming there is no price consideration.

Frankly I went to see both and from a practical perspective in terms of convenience of getting in/out of a 2 door car for rear passengers, the cabrio wins hand down. You can take the top off and rear passengers just zig/zag to get into rear seats.

However, I had a diff view after I came back from genting/bukit tinggi. Ever wonder why in Malaysia, there are hardly any cabrios?

seems like the Coupe is still the choice amongst them two..
thanks for participating in the poll, guys

The 335i is a screamer.

Beng, u can't be dropping the roof everytime u fetch passengers! :)

Sometimes when I park my coupe too close to an obstacle, I lower my door window and get out of the car, close the door and close the window. Easy, peasy!

Aiya, the whole idea of cabrio is 'play with the top'. If I had such a car in my garage, I will:
- open the top, let the rear passengers get in by opening the doors, get seated
- then the front passengers get in,
- close the top, start engine.

of cos I would have a sticker on my car that says "rear passengers are discouraged. This is my selfish and show off car":lol2:

Re: Which would you choose? 3-Series Coupe VS Convertible

Air quality getting worse, congestion getting worse so coupe for me.

Re: Which would you choose? 3-Series Coupe VS Convertible

I once made an impromptu purchase of a bulky item at IKEA, open the top, load the item, close the hood, drive home.

Reached home. Left the item in the car. Know why?

RAINING !!!

So the top is actually a double-edged sword........

P/S: Actually, even if it was a coupe, I will still have left the item in the car !!! Muahahahahaha.......

Re: Which would you choose? 3-Series Coupe VS Convertible

sigh... Coupe or Convertible... how leh? My heart says Convertible for lifestyle. My brain says Coupe for practicality. Can't decide..

Re: Which would you choose? 3-Series Coupe VS Convertible

As several people here have said, you have to own a convertible once in your life. For me, once was enough though I had a lot of fun. Now I want something different. If you have never had a convertible before, I'd say go for the convertible... though again, it's 30K more, not an inconsiderable sum...and you should question the PML people about exactly what happens if the top refuses to go back up...maybe a waterproof car-cover should be thrown in for free as emergency back-up! Try asking them!

One thing is sure: if you are really in the market for a 4-seat convertible, the 335 is far and away the best one out there.

Re: Which would you choose? 3-Series Coupe VS Convertible

in terms of resale value, which one do you guys think would be easier to let go?

Re: Which would you choose? 3-Series Coupe VS Convertible

Very difficult to ascertain but I think the cabrio (in general) will be more difficult to let go as Singaporeans are a practical lot.

The question is asked in a tricky manner.

Ease of letting go, for the 335 version, it is gonna be the coupe over the cabrio.

If you buy new, BOTH will kill you in depreciation when you want to sell it. I would think that if you sell within 5 years, and you try to do PAPER+BODY, the body value difference will be within S$5000 in favour of the cabrio because of greater desirability in export markets, especially the UK. The UK is the world's biggest market for cabrio in Europe.

Re: Which would you choose? 3-Series Coupe VS Convertible

If one is able to get these cars in the first place, 'resale' shouldnt be an issue.

Re: Which would you choose? 3-Series Coupe VS Convertible

Guys, inside PML site, there are 3 models of E93 cabrio : 325i, 325i (Highline) and 335i (Highline).

What does Highline means?

Re: Which would you choose? 3-Series Coupe VS Convertible

Sounds like higher specs to me

Vincar's "normal line" 335i got Logic 7 Hifi :lol2: , front PDC :lol2: , and more:lol2: . but no I-drive or Satnav:(

Re: Which would you choose? 3-Series Coupe VS Convertible

It's alot more important to have the I-drive for this variant than the Logic7 Hi-Fi IMO.
