Re: Which would you rather buy?
Holy shit! That's the first time I read about spontaneous combustion on the 991 GT3. I have been scouring the Rennlist forum and have not come across any major issue. There was one reported incident of powerloss, but that case was a little dodgy and not much info provided. This is serious shit!!! If I am going PI, this would be a serious concern. Thanks for highlighting this, bro! Will keep this in mind if I go the PI route. To go PI, u must at least save $100k for it to be worth the while.
For me, I have never liked Porsches until this GT3 came along. I still don't like the big ass spoiler at the rear. I like things subtle, but unless I stretch to the Speciale, it's all gonna be a compromise. Life is a compromise isn't it

12C is out for me due to the turbo. A used 12C is within reach now, but no go for me for reasons I have mentioned. Lambo isn't my cup of tea and the Huracan styling doesn't send my pulse racing. Buying an exotic for me isn't about how fast they go on a track, but how exciting it is each and every time u fire up the engine. It should be an occasion each and every time. For that, it has to sound very good, handles like on rails, looks a million bucks, and tons of feel. If I go Italian, it would be F and nothing else. I used to really like Gallardo, but they have been around for far too long. I had expected more of the Huracan, but was left disappointed

There is another exotic I really like. It's the Aston Vantage V12. Unfortunately, that car comes with shitty ass automated manual and that is a show stopper for me

In fact, even a V8s Vantage would suffice if only it had a dual clutch gearbox. That car has tons of character and sounds musical to my ears. Too bad. AMG is investing into Aston, so I doubt their NA engines will feature much in the next gen cars

clar: I was thinking of PI GT3 and save about 70-80k until i came across this.
Axis Of Oversteer: 991 GT3s are so hot they are catching on fire.
For me I am thinking the opposite, the GT3 just doesn't look/feel special enuff for me.
458 Speciale or Huracan with about 1 year wait, or the MP4?
