congrats ABD. think PML playing santa and delivering everybody their presents hahaha

MY SE told me PML/BMW Asia did under-estimated the sheer interest and demand in SG for the 335 models, so pre-sale stages, the allocations were small to SG. I think they finally n slowly managed to regularised the situation bcos they also know they are losing sales to other marques if they cannot deliver in time.

I also heard the M-DCT M3 is likely to be $350k-ish. :woowooo:

Re: Why Your 335s Are Delayed ?

The 335 Coupe and Convertible prices are quite stable. Except for now, I thik they have 3 pieces of convertible, they are 'lelong' ing now... XMAS promo...:furious:

Re: Why Your 335s Are Delayed ?

Huh, i thought there is a shortage of 335s worldwide, didn't think they would have excess stock!

it's not a lot lah, such range pricing is unfortunately firm

Re: Why Your 335s Are Delayed ?

Heard they insist on new "pricing" $248,800 for the coupe and 275,800 for the convetible...

Unless, you register this year, they might consider....:juggle:

BMW running at 100% capacity, simultaneously irritating suppliers

Posted Dec 18th 2007 8:33AM by Dan Roth

http://www.autonews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20071217/ANA03/965902187/1193/rss02&rssfeed=rss02BMW's running full-bore as it strains to double its profit margin within the next five years. Across all 23 of the company's manufacturing locations, capacity is maxed out at 100-percent, and there's nary an extra Roundel badge to be had. As BMW pushes for a 10-percent profit margin, they're also putting the squeeze on suppliers. To the OEMs, it seems that BMW has shifted its focus from quality and innovative technology to the bottom line. Not helping matters was a public statement by Manfred Scoch, deputy chairman of BMW's supervisory board, criticizing their suppliers for having better profits than the automaker. With their focus on building the Ultimate Driving Machine, BMW has enjoyed a reputation as a favorite customer of automotive suppliers. Scoch's lead balloon didn't go over well with the companies that make parts for BMW, and has stirred further rumblings that there's growing dissatisfaction with BMW's apparent focus shift. Suppliers shot back at BMW, expressing alarm at Scoch's statement and stating that their ability to generate a profit is tied to their innovation and hard work, rather than overcharging BMW. Understandably, suppliers are loath to concede any price breaks on agreements that are already in place.

For its part, BMW's decided that it's more cost effective to increase their ability to make some components in-house. With that in mind, the Leipzig and Regensburg stamping plants are undergoing expansion, and there will be a new Leipzig stamping facility in 2009. At least 200m euros will be invested in Leipzig and Regensburg, but BMW believes it's a better idea to invest its capabilities, rather than pay a supplier to sort it all out. By the time it's all said and done, further integration may happen to keep the slices on the pie chart looking healthy. If they keep ticking off the companies that make the pieces that they bolt together into automobiles, BMW may end up doing it all themselves.

Re: Why Your 335s Are Delayed ?

My frd just booked his Audi S5. Was told it will be around S$242k with quite alot of options threw in. This will provide competition for 335i. In UK, S5 is abt a few thousands pound more than 335i. Here S5 is cheaper, V8 cheaper than V6. Premium auto's dagger vis-a-vis PML's parang.

Re: Why Your 335s Are Delayed ?

Plus I think you dont have to wait for up to 7/8 months for an Audi S5 unlike the BMW 335?

Re: Why Your 335s Are Delayed ?

Finally getting mine this Friday (if all goes well). Can't wait....tired of waiting.

Re: Why Your 335s Are Delayed ?

Oh....how come you all still waiting?:nehnehhh:

Its ok haidees, you are almost at end of the tunnel. Can see light soon. I waited for mine for 5 months until my blood vessels almost burst.

Lets all drive responsibly and dont push up the insurance premium of our cars, which sucks!

Re: Why Your 335s Are Delayed ?

No, do more research on mod programme. What hardware, what software (which version) and plan a schedule what first what next what can wait..........
