Re: Question on Dyno Run Did mine at Dyno Technica. I had 20bhp difference between first and 3rd run, on two separate tests. I didn't remember any fan blowing air.

I did a dyno test recently with three consecutive runs. The test was done in small enclosure with no air circulation. The test showed the highest hp in the first run and lowest in the 3rd run. Which run is more accurate? Shouldn't the proper test be done with a big fan blowing cool air towards...

I like the fact that they blend in with the car. Anyone knows where I can get them made? Thanks.

Re: Torque vs. HP I believe where you want torque depends on what speed you want to overtake. Low RPM means low speed. The ideal is to have flat peak torque for as broad a RPM range as possible. That's my conclusion after reading the whole thread. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Re: Torque vs. HP Good point, the rolling diameter would be the same with proper inching up. But if the 20" wheel also have wider track width, would that give me better acceleration?

Re: Torque vs. HP Am I correct to say that in order to get better 0-100km time, I should really be looking for higher torque over a high RPM range, rather than just higher peak torque? In addition 20" wheels should give me better 0-100km time than say 18" wheels (forget about weight first)...

I recently read an article that 520d (170bhp) has higher torque than the 530i (250bhp), yet the 0-100km time is still a few seconds more than the 530i. Doesn't higher torque translate into higher acceleration?

I know that the Sprint Booster does not add hp. But would it distort the result of a typical dyno test?
